Eventually the slug or pellet just barely clips the baffle, knocking it slightly out of alignment.  Then the next shot knocks it further out of alignment. <p>Jerry&#8217;s 9 ring slugs are super long yet they stabilize perfectly in my LW barrel.</p>
<p>When I fire Aguila SSS rounds in my old Remington Nylon 66, about every third bullet keyholes in the paper target.  Those bullets are 60 grain and not nearly as long as a 9 ring slug.</p>

Your analysis could very well be correct.  The slug may have embedded itself in that hog&#8217;s skull rather than glanced off. The Talon valve that came with the TSS was ported and polished by Tony, but I bought a Condor high flow valve so I could get a dramatic increase in fpe. With the 12&#8243; .22 barrel, you won&#8217;t get as much power out of your Condor as you will with an 18&#8243; or 24&#8243; barrel.  A lot of the extra air is just wasted.
