I have thought of building a “magazine” for my SS that the side would hinge open and reveal a foam insert with holes to hold extra pellets at the ready.

Have you tried using silicone chamber oil to fix your leak? When I fill my PCPs, I on occasion put a drop or two of silicon oil in the end of the female foster. It relubes the seals. My Edge had a slow leak and it fixed it right up.

I have no experience with the Phoenix, but it appears to be a good quality air rifle. The only issue I see with it is that by American standards it is pretty weak, shooting at a maximum of 700 FPS.
