<p>Walter, IDK what to do!!! I am very unfamiliar with the design of these guns.  😳 Would taking it apart possibly void my warranty? I&#8217;d rather call AF than risk my money.</p>

<p>I compared the new barrel to the stock 12 incher and the holes for the set screws are definitely not as deep so its not that I mixed up the screws I was very careful not to. I suppose it&#8217;s possible I did but I will have to take a look at that tomorrow.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m gonna be mounting them on the AF tri rail. And airgun dovetails are 11mm as far as I know so if it doesn&#8217;t work on yours I doubt it would tighten down on mine. <p>Which reticle is best for airgunning? I often have to aim low and it looks like the SR6 and SR12 only have markings underneath the center point. I&#8217;m looking at straightshooters and it looks like it only has the mildots.</p>

<p>That sure is tempting. It seems from the review that the MTC is a better scope with more features but it was too much money. I don&#8217;t care about the extra cost I just want to get a nice scope that I&#8217;m going to love for a long time and I think the MTC just barely comes out on top over the sidewinder 30 if you were to disregard money. Right?</p>

<p>It&#8217;s just easier to reach for the side wheel than reaching all the way around and forward every time I need to be shooting.</p>

I will look at getting one of those scopes if the Viper doesn&#8217;t work out (I really like all the features of the scope, and it doesn&#8217;t have terrible glass). I&#8217;m not looking at the biggest Viper because of how ridiculously oversized the side wheel is, and I don&#8217;t really need all the extra magnification.</p>
