There are a couple of versions. The one pictured has the threaded barrel.

If you already have an M4, Spike’s Tactical makes .22 uppers that will mate to your existing lower.

I guess .177 would work, got plenty of that for my springer. I was looking towards a quiet Talon SS because the springer tends to crack like a .22 rimfire on occasion.
