<p>Tank arrived today (WOW..that was fast&#8230;ordered  from Experthap on Sat. the 5th, arrived at my door on Mon. the 7th)..also  ordered a rebuild kit (just a little future insurance).</p>
<p>My gauge reads 1175psi&#8230;close enough to 1200 for my use.</p>

Are right, the standard paintball tanks are 850psi output.  JDS and Experta offer tanks set to various higher pressure outputs&#8230;and they are more expensive (generally $85-$100 vs $50-$60 for 850 out put).</p>

Even if the Micro valve could be made to shoot to my goal, will probably go ahead and use a small (13ci) HPA tank.</p>
<p>Did some experiments this AM&#8230;looks like 1200psi output would do the trick with some room to adjust the gun&#8217;s settings up or down to get to 12 foot pounds.</p>

<p>Sent it back, they shipped a new one  and I got a 2nd one in a trade deal.</p>

Main problem seems to be dimentional, too much variation in diameters (esp. head diameter)&#8230;.either they have poorly ladjusted machinery or their various dies don&#8217;t match one another real well.<br />

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>More noticable with the talon SS.  Exiting co2 gets trapped in the frame, bathing/cooling the barrel&#8217;s outside before exiting.  Same would be true for any shrouded co2 rifle.  Not really a problem, they just cool a bit faster&#8230;.shoot slower.</p>

Been in the 80&#8217;s here, can manage to get the 10.6gr. pellets up to 700fps but normally set it down (for these targets) to 630fps.   Just uses enough more c02 for that 70fps that the gun cools down much faster, which makes shooting tiny groups a lot harder.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For heavy weights, the Kodiak and CPH&#8217;s have been working well for me (co2 talon SS).  With the CPH&#8217;s, some lots suk an others are great&#8230;Kodiak&#8217;s don&#8217;t seem to have bad lots. </p>
<p>Also worth a try are RWS SuperMags&#8230;a 9.3gr. WC that has worked quite well for me in several rifles.</p>

Had much the same problems at first.  Learned that my rifle and my style of shooting required 4 things;</p>

<p>On the co2 versions I&#8217;ve tried, there is a point were increasing the spring tension doesn&#8217;t really increase vel. <p>Did my final tests of the “junk” barrel . Very limited range time, so tried to pre-plan how to get the most information for the lest shots.  Ended up shooting 35 for score shots and a handful of sighers on a junk target.</p>

<p>Sounds like there is a whole lot of barrel volume needing to be filled with air in order to get the speed any higher (although 38-39 foot pounds is probably plenty).  Basically, if you want Condor speeds are going to have to use a Condor valve (and maybe the heavier hammer as well).</p>

<p>Angled Lexan would work.  Better to have it angled  to cast a stray pellet down; it gets rid of both the light reflection problem (so you can read the numbers) and puts an &#8220;oh-oh&#8221; pellet into the dirt. <p>IF you&#8217;ve tried the fixes from the earlier post, have tried OTHER PELLETS (no matter how good the pellet, if it isn&#8217;t a match for your barrel, it shoots like crap), the vice is well mounted and not shifting,  the top hat is adjusted well, and you&#8217;ve cleaned the barrel&#8230;then it&#8217;s one of two things.</p>

Managed to rebuild the china made pump, but it never did work real well above 2500PSI but i still working to fill my brother&#8217;s Discovery.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Should have two set screws on that top hat&#8230;if it slipped down to that low setting, and you really did &#8220;pull&#8221; it back up, think you might take a look at those set screws.</p>
<p>Can pretty well plan of about 2fps gain in vel. for each degree of temperature change from about 55F to about 90F&#8230;.so come summer, would be looking at about 50fps faster speeds.</p>
