Also I did some work for a company that distributes Humphrey products (Benjamin rogue valve) and often day dream of cheap big bore digital solenoid valve design plans. Have you considered an electronic valve design? Nothing’s faster, more contortable, and is a world apart in shot consistentsy coupled with some sensors and a small board

Very clever, make an extension piece that adds crazy length and volume restriction. Sign me up! Hey Doug, can you tell me, is it necessary for the valve return spring retainer to be so long on these valves. I’m an hvac guy and I know air velocity and volume as it pertains to my field, however, since trying to take up machining and pcp air gunning…Read more

I just followed that link and am confused. I bought my extreme valve from Randy and it came with fill nipple and gauge, no extension necessary. What is the extension, any one know?

I wonder if my valve is slightly different it was one of the first round of valves produced. I had to wait weeks for testing to complete and I was hounding Randy for weeks about it’s final product coming to market. Maybe the valve spring is lighter, or porting different. I’m going to disassemble it and mic it for specs. I’m very curious now.

My crony was generating the fps, I’m only reporting my experience. I haven’t ported valve or modified any thing on it. velocity at muzzle 1st round 3200 PS fill. 100 gr hammer, 28 in TJs barrel, TT spring. I’m going to try a video once work slows down.

My rl valve sends 88 grain spitzers out at 1040 fps which = like 140 fpe. About the same as a .32 cal powder burner pistol. It is a big jump over stock, but only if used with heavy hammer spring to create the valve dwell time it needs. Also a long barrel is a must.

Thanks doug. I have the TT heavy spring coming in still, however i dont believe it to be necessary unless the fill pressure is over 3000. Im already dumping 300+ psi per shot. The presure wave released in my tiny basment is strong enough to make the base drum on my drum set play itself as if it were hit by a decent blow from the foot pedal.
