What i do with this is :</p>
<p>I put the valve in the jaws of my Lathe and fix the lathe so it can&#8217;t turn , then Ill pull of the rubber cheeckpiece with buttplate .</p>
<p>Then i take a big wrench and grab the bottom of the tank and give it a ferm pull.<br />
That&#8217;s it &#8230;&#8230;. then you can take it out without any problems.</p>

<p>At this time shootsafe has an big valve stem (like the condor!!) so he needs a big hammer to open the valve .</p>
<p>If he wants an bigger shot count , he needs to change the whole gun.</p>

<p>Just cut off the other side  😉 </p>
<p>And the crown ; just take off a mm or 2 and then recrowne.<br />
with al lot of attention  and sandpaper(?) in the lathe on normal speed (not high speed)<br />
from 400 too waterproof 12000 (hobby shop) and that is not used with water  but with oil.</p>
<p>and keep inspecting it whle you are sanding it .</p>

I did some work on the lathe for shootsafe .<br />
I took of 6 inch from the barrel and recrowned it .<br />
And we talked about the hammer weight and how the valve works and that took the whole evening  😉 </p>
<p>We gave the valve a quick look and shootsafe went home .<br />

<p>After the weekend I&#8217;m gonna take the valve apart en take a pic .<br />
the tophat isnt secured  like the original tophat (with 2 little allen screws) , it has a little space to move on the thread like 3/10 of a mm  and I think thats the problem of his rare shot consistence.<br />

<p>IN the original setup the gun works fine !</p>
<p>and withe the hybrid hammer  in the gun and the powerspring , it still works fine .<br />
But when I put in the blodnob valve, de hammer bounses back with an awesome speed.</p>
<p>It seems that the air escapes past the stem , there&#8217;s no o-ring inside.<br />
And pushes the tophat back in his start position </p>

well the 0-rings are new, But I&#8217;m gonna make a new breech for him .</p>
<p>And the small plastic washer around the cocking bolt is smashed to nothing !  so the breech really hits hard on the frame .</p>
<p>So hard that even the breech nob(thread) wears out in 3 or 4 shots!!</p>
<p>But ,  you (both) realy think that the breech isn&#8217;t air tight?<br />
