I was aiming to get rid of my Flex problem and it certainly took care of that. I have the ultima short and the pistol grip was modified buy Mad Dog to be ambidextrous. Very sweet</p>

I tried lubing with 10wt silicon R/C shock oil (as recommended by knifemaker if I recall  for cast bullet shooting in the .257).  A bit messy but no more leading and very good accuracy.</p>

I bought a 3000 psi scuba tank at first and then a 3500 psi tank which was really heavy, both were 80 cf. I wasn&#8217;t so afraid of the $75 that my local gunsmith wanted to charge but the fact he wanted my new gun for 2 to 3 weeks was way out of the question&#8230;.plus I had no guarantee that his mod would work any better than mine.<br />
Next step for this week is to get out my new wheeler firelapping kit.</p>

I placed the barrel on my aluminum arrow straightener so it would spin freely and raised up the drill on a pile of magazines until it was running true. I size everything with a Lee .457 sizing die.  I have trouble chambering anything .458 or above.  I love Lee R.E.A.L. bullets in 250 gr sized to .457. Still waiting for my Ranger but sure having a ball with the Extreme in the meanwhile.  Brent has designed the gun to shoot at 4200 to 4500 psi and she shoots between 500 and 600fpe with the larger bullets.
