If I dropped the power I could get quite a few consistent shots. The reg did set me back $180 but the Condor is in effect several rifles in that I can configure it to suit the task. The available calculators say this should stabilize a .223 dia 40 to 45 gr cast bullet all the way down to 500 fps.   I ordered it from Shilen Barrel Co. as a .750&#8243; dia blank and got it turned to fit the Condor.<br />

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It will send .22 kodiaks supersonic if I crank it up, does around 1000 fps with 28 gr Eun Jin heavies.  I found a point for the top hat which works ok with either .177 or .22  though I may not be getting the absolute max out of it. I&#8217;ve never had a tank dump or any problems at all for that matter. In .177 I just shoot the 16 gr Eun Jin&#8217;s and they do fine.</p>

I had a gunsmith thread them for a suppressor.  I don&#8217;t foresee parting with it&#8230; very good for hunting.</p>

You can remain legal (which I always find a good idea) and still have a powerful air rifle. What can you hunt with an air rifle where you live ? The .177 may be quite adequate for your purpose. It took a couple of months to get it back, but then that&#8217;s it, no more to pay. It can be even transferred to an heir without additional fee, not that I&#8217;m worried about that. The MTC christmas tree reticle makes windage estimation easier at longer range, or looks as if it would, as I&#8217;ve not used one.  I think I favor the MTC and have one of those on my wish list.</p>

There are two allen set screws to hold it in position &#8230;. loosen them and you can turn the tophat. It does control how much air the valve releases. I had taken both barrels to a gunsmith to have the muzzles threaded for my suppressor. Had to leave BATF registration &amp; the suppressor with him and wait a week for him to get to it, but it&#8217;s a pretty job.
