It&#8217;s really hard to say exactly which top hat you have without seeing it. The Talon Tunes top hat does have the internally threaded &#8220;throat&#8221; like you described. Another way to tell the difference between the TT unit and the factory unit is that the TT is a one piece design so there will be NO set screws in the collar.<br />

I&#8217;m like you and knew that I can&#8217;t leave it stock so I went ahead and got one from Tony<a href='https://talonairgun.com/members/talon/' rel="nofollow ugc">@Talon</a> Tunes. It&#8217;s my first pcp so I have some learning to do. I got a little time with it Saturday. I was hitting shotgun shells @50yds and bowling pins @100 yds very easily. You are going to have some fun with it.</p>
