Hello all,

I had a little time last night to shoot my 12″ .22 barrel using the configuration above. The results were very good. I got 85 regulated shots from the little tank before it gave out. I am only posting the last ten shots of my 85 shot string. (I am lazy). 712,710,707,709,713,713,703,706,704,699.

I am planning to shoot a string with my 12″ .22 barrel and my 24″ .177 barrel with this tank setup this coming weekend. I will post my results here. I might even try my 14″ .25 barrel just to satisfy my curiosity….
I could not hope for anything better with the above string. I can pack an extra tank with me and have 130 shots to play with.
Here is a picture of my setup. I was looking for something light for starling sniping and I think this fits the bill! The scope is a 4x leapers with illuminated recticle and mil-dots.

Mamcrackin,

The regulator on the tank screws into the Co2 adapter which adds enough length to get the right pull with my butt plate. Just had to play with the top hat and PW to get the most efficient combination. I would be happy to post a picture, but I am a little stupid on how to do it. Any help with how to post pictures would be appreciated. 😳

Nice string maw! You are getting a solid 21 ft. lbs.. I wish I had a little more room at home to shoot. I would like to see a BC for this pellet. I bet you could get a pretty flat trajectory with good retained energy with these. Does anyone know if distance makes a difference when calculating BC? For example, if I set up my chrony at muzzle then…Read more

The Talon SS tank, as well as all Air Force tanks are 490cc.
The fills will depend on the fill pressure you decide to use.
I usually start at 2600psi and shoot down to about 2200psi before filling on my Talon ss .22 12″ barrel. Every tank valve set seems to have its own personality, but from what I have seen on this forum. 2600-2800 psi is a…Read more

That is what I wanted to hear. Sounds like the energy is still respectable with a shorter barrel. I sold my .25 patriot to help fund my Talon purchase. I really enjoyed the power of the .25 but did not enjoy the cocking effort or scope crushing recoil. Sounds like the options truly are limitless for my new setup. Thanks for the input!
