									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Kodiaks, being heavier, aren&#8217;t as badly affected by wind. I can get them out the 12 inch barrel of my Talon SS at about 730 to 740 fps.</p>
<p>The CPs are still my go-to pellet in the SS.  They leave the barrel at about 850 to 860 fps.  </p>
<p>I just chrono&#8217;d these last week so the numbers are still fresh in my mind.</p>

<p>I dropped in a long lightweight coil spring, followed by nylon washers turned to perfectly fit the factory shround. The washers are spaced apart by O-rings, the first one by 4, the next by 3 the next by 1 and then one right next to the end cap. The end result is a gun that when fired sounds like someone snapping a twig. It&#8217;s shorter and doesn&#8217;t look like a gun case which keeps the natives from getting restless if you carry it out and around.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>More than likely the gun with the stock 12 inch barrel will max out on velocity with the power wheel in the 5 or 6 position setting. With a full 200 bar fill, you&#8217;ll get about 40 consistent shots before you need to top off the tank.</p>
<p>Crosman Premiers are highly accurate and have been the best in my gun overall.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I use high two piece mounts on two of my Talon SS and Condors. I don&#8217;t get any frame flex that I can notice and they are just as accurate as my other Talon and Condor which have one piece high mounts.</p>
<p>Keep in mind that the scope itself is rigid and will only add to the rigidity of the entire assembly once it&#8217;s attached.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Crosman Premiers (14.3gr) with the PW set on about 5. We get over 800 fps, great accuracy and about 40 or so shots before having to refill.</p>
<p>I have shot a great many pellets through these Talons and all seem to obtain the best groups with the Premiers. The Kodiaks were a close 2nd and I acutally prefer those in my Condors.</p>

I have an empty Beeman Pellet tin with sponge bottom and just put in about a half dozen drops of Break Free and then put in about 25 pellets, close the lid and gently shake for about 10 seconds. Take them out and then put in 25 more pellets and go again. <p>But it won&#8217;t hurt to use the drooper mount on your Talon if you want. It just means that most of your elevation adjustment will be done by the mount instead of the scope. I put different numbers of spacers (O-rings) between them in order to supposedly break up the various harmonics involved in the sound. It seems to work. <p>We then put up our standard targets &#8211; 3/4 inch candy suckers. We easily broke 4 out of 5 without missing and this was at 165 feet. I suspect that with any pellet in the 12 to 15 gr range, a setting of 6 is all you&#8217;ll be able to use. Any more and the velocity will be the same and you&#8217;ll just waste air. </p>

<p>We use the old 35mm film canisters to store 40 pellets in. When empty, it&#8217;s time to refill the air canister. </p>
<p>I like your idea even better &#8211; it&#8217;s easier to just carry one container than a pocketful of 6!</p>

<p>We&#8217;re shooting guns with tiny pellets to what amounts to long distances (for the size and scale) and even a very, very slight difference in positioning of the barrel when it&#8217;s removed and reinstalled can throw the POI way off once you get downrange.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I should have mentioned that we are shooting Beeman Kodiaks which I think weigh about 24 or 25 gr.  Heavier pellets seem to do better for us at the higher velocities. </p>
<p>I&#8217;d certain agree that at 900+fps something like a Crosman Premier might not be as accurate as it would be at velocities in the 750 fps range.</p>
