On aside note, my .22 ultra is set to 720 fps with the 16 grn pellets and doing a fine job. Something to be said for slow and heavy.</p>

The beast weren&#8217;t very accurate at 50 yds but then again I didn&#8217;t test them a whole lot. I&#8217;m guessing the mutant standard might launch these things up into the high 800&#8217;s. The filled gauge is made for vibration damping and severe weather use. The thread is an npt thread. 1/8&#8243; I think? Dman can comment on this. It&#8217;s a common size.</p>

The barrel is the same diameter as a bsa barrel so not really an issue I hope. I think it does need a reg just to make it a little more custom right. :biggrinn:</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>After some crony testing and adjustments its shooting 33 shots at an avg of 789 Fps. Starts dropping off after that. Shooting at 30 yds its shootin in one hole. So I think it&#8217;s a success so far. ES of 12 Fps is on par with the lonestar. Still deciding if it needs a regulator or not. Any tuning opinions would be appreciated.</p>

The trigger as well. I&#8217;ve thought of polishing the sear and engagements but it&#8217;s very crisp and I like the way it feels. </p>

Yesterday on other members advice I turned down the HST and started shooting the 18 grn jsb and turned it up until it shot around 910 fps. The problem was that as the tube pressure dropped the fps went up. I shot three groups and it happened the same every time. A little more for a heavy pellet I believe. Valve dwell time and all. Shouldn&#8217;t make a difference in decibels. Turning the hst down will matter but at the reg setting it doesn&#8217;t really like that. Reg is marked as being 147 bar. as you can see it&#8217;s not would you would call consistent. I have non regulated rifles that shoot within 5. Don&#8217;t get me wrong, I&#8217;m not bashing here. I turned the adjuster out two full turns plus some to shoot around the 930 range where some of my other rifles like to shoot. I think my problem my be that one shot reads 928 then the next two will jump to 950. Then back down. I guess a regulator clean out is in order. I&#8217;m tempted to sand and re coat the clear until it&#8217;s extra smooth but that would kind of defeat the purpose. Use, scratch, paint,repeat. Shot a full string this morning with the jsb 14 grn.<br />
Started at 240 bar<br />
240- 903<br />
210- 913<br />
200- 955 it jumped up for 7 shots. Reg settling maybe<br />

It came with a target and shot string. It seemed way louder than expected but then it was running super hot. That&#8217;s why I made the shroud adapter for it. Same feel, number of lands, same width of lands ect. It would be nice if airgun barrels were stamped with the manufacturer like rifle barrels. I would be happy if he offered breech and barrel assemblies that could be switched out. .22 and .25 barrels, and either single or multi shot breeches. The way they are designed I think they are interchangeable. Of course the barrel is torqued to the sight rail so you could leave your scope attached!</p>
