I did finish it the other day and threw it in the contest, more because I was pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out after I bead-blasted it to remove some scratches. A side benefit is that my groups appear to have tightened up from when it was mounted in the old wooden stock.</p>

I made the moderator as well and that shifted the center of balance a tiny bit forward, but you can see that she balances well right at that Picatinny rail where she rests on the pellet tins. <p>Back in the day when I was in the Navy we were issued 1911&#8217;s for a Watch/Duty sidearm. These were notorious for having tired, worn barrels and many sailors would dip their USGI Ball ammo in grease to get a better seal and a few more fps. </p>
