Had no problem taking the original tank regulator off and replacing it with the 1850 psi. They have a standard 5/8 thread on them and the regulators just screw in the tanks. The next fall the tank was found across the Wabash river by an IL farmer in his field. After that I gave much more respect to the gas cylinders in the shop I worked at.</p>

I tried what you suggested today Hoot, blew the o-ring out of the adapter before I reached 1000psi. I&#8217;ll just try switching the top hats on my CO2 adapter with the one on my air tank. I thought about it all night and came to the conclusion there is only one thing left, my top hat must be too tall. <p>The distance from the base of the air tank to the top of the top hat is 1.370&#8243;</p>
<p>The inside depth of the adapter is 1.250&#8243;</p>
<p>So the adapter is pushing the top hat down .120&#8243; and releasing the valve. Does anyone have one of these fill adapters that can measure theirs? It is an AF product purchased from R&amp;L.
