I know… And if one shoots diabolo type of bullet, one doesn’t need fast twist at all. Diabolo stabilizes even from smooth bore.

But bullet like projectiles require or presuppose somewhat faster twist rates. And, longer the bullet, faster the twist rate needed.

So, all and everything depends on what one wants to shoot.

Honestly though, the 257 and 308’s are really my preferred direction for airguns (love 45’s too….BUT?). Its a personal thing. I like the thought of higher velocities and higher BC’s. I will say this TODAy just in case it becomes popular down the line, i would love a 264 cal…Read more

In my opinion, would be great to hear reports about using quality benchrest barrels in airguns, I mean, if there would appear any reports.

Those quality firearm barrelsa are not that different to airgunbarrels. Shallow-landed, large-grooved and mirror-polished barrels should shoot fine no matter what sort of gas or gasses are used as propelling…Read more

Gun is finally working fine.

Top hat is set quite low… but gun is still pretty stout.

Thanks for help, everybody.

I have mold for this bullet (in size .219 inches) made by NEI handtools. Those two driving bands are in metric 5,52mm and 5,57mm. Mold is made very well.

That bullt seem to work (it’s accurate), though I have a little problem right currently, because my gun dumps its reservoir with one shot.

Polishing didn’t help to that dumping thing. Gun still uses almost all air in one shot.

But polishing helped to me see that the brass screw that holds valve on its place probably somehow locks the valve open.

I polished valve stem, and will test if that helps.

Maybe it’s the brass part in the bottle (which is in contact with valve stem). I mean, maybe it’s the brass which is left too rough or it not round… but I hope polishing the valve stem could fix the problem.
