power adjust lelya .177
How can I adjust the power of the lelya?
Underneed the stock is the hammerspring what can be adjusted, but this has no influence on the pellet speed. You can let it shoot at lower fps but no higher. Only the air-use is getting bigger when you increase the preload.
So it seems the lelya is on it’s max with these setting of the regulator.
Is it posible to adjust the reg setting? and how will i do this?
The lelya shoots now @ 880fps/268 m/s and i would like to have about 920-980 fps / 280-300 m/s

It is in Saint Petersburg already and as soon as it will be possible will be sent to Tony.
Are you having any luck getting your shipment out to Tony?
I’m interested in the Lelya .22 and curious if your shipping is still
having problems with customs.

I still have problems with the barrels and Russian custom to take them from abroad. But think that will be solved soon. As soon as I have them we will go on with sending guns to Tony. For now I have orders from him for 40 Matadors. As for Lelya — much less, but if he will order I will send them as well.

You should have an order for a Veles too 😉

Could not have said it much better myself……. 😉
That is if you can get one………. 🙄

Lelya is a mixture of the power and the size. But one has to understand that one cannot get huge power from the small toy. Lelya was made for speed 240 m/sec, based on my experience that is average speed for such a small gun to reach the target up to 70-80 meters. Yes, Lelya has a very good accuracy and sometimes it seems that “if I get more power, I will reach targets for 100 and more meters…” Thas is not true — size, you should remember about it, size and the weight of the gun. If you increase the power for such a small and light gun you will have harder kickback that will not make your accuracy better so if you miss the target — there is no difference what power had the pellet, right? So, just let it work as it was designed for 🙂 If you need more power and still want EDgun — Matador is your choice 🙂

I know, – he told me. I am quite frequently in his workshop.
Its a small world…….. 😀
Having one as we speak !!!
@loco,
Roar has one of my ultra’s at the moment and we are working on a 10 shot’s regulated bullpup right now….So yes he’s very very good.
I contacted Luchtbuks.com last week for a lelya in .22 and he said, Edguns are fabulous guns i wish i could get more of them. Leadtime at the moment is about 6 months…… Perhaps the Matador is on stock but i doubt that…..You could sent him a mail and let me know.
cheers, with the “oude klare” 😆
Just get’s in my mind, we have a common friend, Egon, who also had a Lelya and I’am pretty sure he took it appart so I’ll ask him too
Hi Huub:
Good idea. Egon is a good friend of mine and he lives 5 minutes away from me. The Lelya I have came from him, as he didn’t have the time to play with her. But yes, he is the number 1. Blueprinter in this country and with a wealth of knowledge. He might be able to tell you….
BTW: Is Matador available from Luchtbuks these days ? 😀
Cheers…..
PS: I used to live in Holland (Vlaardingen) in prehistoric times (1968), – and I did not like the Dutch winter much. But “Oude klare” is one of my favorites…….! ![]()
Hi Zocoloco,
Been on the russian forum with google chrome translate…..but even google doen’t seem to understand russian 🙂
But if it not to complicated you can make something of it 🙂

Sounds like a wise approach……
Also there are quite a few Russians who read the English part of the EDgun Russia forum (and translates via Google or friends). You may want to ask your question there, – or find somebody on here that speak Russian to post for you……..

@hood,
i have seen these instructions, but they don’t give instructions for adjusting.
But if you look @ 2.26 min you can see the reg and the reg-chamber. And if i see it well there is a screw on top of the reg, so it should be posible. I just don’t know if there are other items. Normaly it a mather of increasing the pressure in the reg and find the best preload of the hammerspring.
I’ll wait for a reaction of Ed or otherwise I will give it a try.

Here is a youtube video that has four (4) parts on assembling the Lelya.
Depending on your Russian language skills, or powers of observation, there may be some help in here.
Good luck!
