look at this pretty thing, there are allot of rim fire group pics online, to get an idea of different rifles capabilities.
http://www.chuckhawks.com/savage_bsev.htm

My rim fire are all marlin lever guns, i have never really set them down and bench rested them ,more like just to make sure they were sighted in, or only to find ammo that shot acceptable. the remington golden solids usually shot best but i would always buy the brick of ammo , what ever was on sale for pl inking and hunting , not usually very long ranges. never have run match ammo thru these rifles to see what they would do. but i have done allot of off hand shooting at the range at a 100 yard rimfire hanging ram silhouette , i hit it more than missed.

I looked for some groups from my marlin rifles and i cant find any.i have a 39A and a 39m golden mountie, have always wanted a accurate bolt rifle but never bought one. for serious stuff i always went to my .222 Rem in a M 788 remington bolt gun, now that one will shoot.

I went plum to Conover North Carolina to get the best match ammo made.
The Federal 36 grain Hollo Point bulk at Walmarts will out shoot it. I bought an entire Brick of that Junk πŸ˜€ I still have it, I’m going to try it in Different 22 Pistols and see if it will shoot good in it.
Those Savage Pictures make me home sick, I’ve owned a few of them and had to let them go years ago during hard times, but I still have my old savage Antique and it is not scope mountable but it shoots good off of the sites.
At the distance Ive shown here I can use my 22 Talondor I put together, or the Tony 25 talondor or my 25 condor with the Tony Barell I put together will out shoot the 22 rim fires at the distance shown here.
My 1022 rifles will shoot one hole groups at 25 all day long. So will my Chipmunk Oregon arms. I bought it in 1993 and it is a fine little back woods 22 to take along on a hunt.
By the looks of my CZ in this target it just might go to shooting good, I don’t shoot any of my Powder burners much I’m hooked on Air πŸ˜€

Do that with a nice savage

Savage will probably do better.
To be honest at the same distance my Stubby 25 will shoot the same group.
Just following through. I agree with powder burner on the number of shots, But 3 shots is how I always set my scope. Every one around here does the same. If it is wide then it would be hard to move a shotgun blast, but 3 shots usually tells the tale.
I’m not into competition just eating some Rabits and Squirells LOLOL.
The stubby does between 48 and mid 50’s in Foot pounds, and it seems to like the 48.3 grains better out past 30 Yards to 45 yards.
UH Love my Stubby πŸ˜€ You can hold it out with one hand and shoot it LOOL.

Do that with a nice savage

3 shots way easier to show good group , 5 shots better show of consistency, 10 shots , well a badass M, X#@$#$%$ F , ya see what i mean. πŸ™‚

Please, could someone post a target at 50y or 60y to compare????

This is the CZ @ 45 Yards it is the shoot and see target, the red one to the right is my 25 Talondor and the one to the left and low is my 17 Multi pump crosman.
I might have pulled off with the CZ so I’ll give it a benifit of a doubt.. Using Powder burners you are supposed to use a three shot group, or so I’m Told. πŸ˜€

I have three 1022, two custom one stock.
Both customs have green mountain barrels
Both customs have had trigger work done.
They are shooters. I also own a Anshultz sporter that they both out shoot.
Anyboby want an Anshultz for $250 plus shipping?
Anshultz feels like quality, bolt is great compared to other 22’s nice wood not a great shooter. 😳

Get that 20MOA base!

i plan on getting a new .22 soon. savage mark ii tr is what my eyes are set on.. read good reviews on it.. looks like a mini m24! all i need is a .22 around here.. no where to shoot really.

Me too!!!, but I like the BSEV design!!!

Yes that model is quite the looker.. but I am more of a tactical rifle guy.

With the correct ammo, scope, shooter it will perform.. here’s a vid of a guy shooting a mark ii @ 400 yards.

Savage is a whole differant animal πŸ˜€ I have an old single shot and it is still very accurate, it isn’t scope groved so I just shoot it off of the sites, it is a real good shooter out to my distance in the woods, many Squirrels has been killed with it. πŸ˜€
Here is a coment from his youtube web site you have posted “Now Listen” I love that Savage, I just want to show you what he said himself about the 1022.
@hifly78 just assuming I wanted to move 14 M.O.A. @ 400 yard’s.1 click = 1/4 inch @ 100. how many click’s would I adjust? What would the equation be,whether windage or elevation. At a 50 yard zero I am having to come up 72 click’s on a SWFA ss10x42m at 200 yard’s to hit my point of aim.Do not know how to calculate it,just ran the turret up until I hit my point of aim.Thank’s for the reply.(I’m a novice) can shoot a 1″ 3 shot group with my customized 10/22 atο»Ώ this distance. Nuff Said πŸ˜€
