Q:

motion alarm?

I’m looking for something to alert me if there’s a raccoon or whatever in the yard, I think someone mentioned this a while back…

What do you guys use, I’d like it to not be too loud when it goes off though 😉

Mr. Fox looks like he had a rough night at the pub… 😆

Others sit down for a sunflower snack. The backyard fox eats anything.

They are eating the sunflower seeds on the ground my kids put out for the cardinals. I am trying to find a picture I have where the deer is rubbing the HF sensor. My wife was glad I ran it over because the sensor is annoying.

That third photo is really sweet! 😯

How did you get them to pose like that? 😆

Actually they knock it off frequently but I missed it cutting the last time. I don’t have a game camera out there but the sensor notifys me when the raccoons and opossums come in at night which is what I am looking for.

Here are some deer pictures by the sensor. They are always knocking stuff over.

Deer in front of my 30 yard target behind house.

Another with the swinging target in the center of the deer on ground.

Did you get video of that!! 😆

Did it have a RECYCLE logo on it’s bottom ❓ LOL

yes it did 😆 well i didn’t feel like it was fair..not that it is with a motion sensor lol but it came up to me from like 3 feet away.

You have to ask yourself what would roachcreek do in this situation?

I went out and bought a household alert alarm…I didn’t have any batteries to use so I couldn’t use it that night, while I was out barbequing though a cat came to my recycling bin 10 feet behind me lol.

that sounds like something the squirrels around here would do to retaliate in my war with them.

I have the one from HF and it works great and is build better than another one that I bought called Hunter Alert.

I’m not sure how well the Hunter Alert will stand up to harsh weather conditions, but it does give the advantage of being able to set three motion sensors out and tells you which one is active. You can use a ear plug or it can be turned to silent and the lights indicate which sensor is going off.

They are having blow out sale, but I would not expect any long lasting replacement warranty.
I received an email after the tsunami hit Japan that they were going out of business since their manufacture was washed away.

“$14.99 Blowout sale. 50 units left with torn cardboard retail packaging”

Okay i’ll just get that one, thanks 😉

That might work, but it’s not the one I use. The one I use goes on sale for $12 to $14 regularly. Check it out:

It works great! The “C” batteries last a long time while the 9 volt in the sensor needs changing every six months or so.

Even the low setting is loud, so I wrap mine ie a beach towel…that quiets it down just fine. If I were skilled in electronics, I would figure out where to place a resistor to quiet it down. 😉

Good luck and have fun!

This is the same one I use and it works great! I also wrap the speaker unit in a towel because it is very loud (even on low).

Okay I saw that one too but I wasn’t sure which one. I’ll probably give that one a try, it’s only 18$ anyways, thanks.
