nope Syn, not at all sensitive…maybe you should refresh yourself with my initial review of the beast here
it has issues however the ones some folks keep harping on have not been my experience as yet
mine has power, accuracy and has been reliable
is a USFT more accurate?
sure and it’s a single shot with less power, a scalpel
the Max is a chain saw
I have a pretty collection of AGs
crap ranging from the 1700s to the 21st Century
I just call it as I see it
sure if I could only afford one gun it likely would not be a MAX, wouldn’t be a Daystate or USFT either
probably be my Edgun, pretty impressed with that one

RS- I didn’t start the comparison with regards to the low quality automatic vs. Daystate quality, I was replying to someone else making the comparison. But I know how sensitive you are about the Max and it’s shortcomings that you refuse to accept, I can see why you’d totally miss the point of my posts and start going off on whatever the fuck this word salad is…

Syn:
it won’t be nearly two thousand dollar select fire pellet guns that will bring future regulation to Airguns
no more than it was two thousand dollar plus SIG 57s that gave us the Assault Weapons act
think things that are cheap
in the case of Assault Weapons it was el cheapo AKM clones and SKS rifles with after market goodies, TEK 9s, M11/9s ect…
in the case of AGs it will be mainstream yet inexpensive rifles like the Crosman Marauder being misused that will do it IF it does EVENTUALLY happen
as it stands I would take a cap and ball .44 revolver over any airgun were I hunting two legged critters
still zero regulation at the federal level and a fraction of the price of even a Marauder with pump.

contrasting America with NZ or even Canada is poor form
we are a haven of criminality, it’s part of the American mindset as the vast majority of our citizens ignore many laws
to give you an example of the differences between say Canada and the USA consider that while the Canucks regulate even AGs and muzzleloaders they do not regulate Deacs, welded up machine guns
we do and there is a reason for this
prior to 1968 deactivated machineguns were cash and carry in our nation
thing was that a huge cottage industry grew up reactivating them to live status…it’s what we Americans do Syn
want another example friend?
how about machinegun parts sets
just in the various marks of the STEN SMg over 500,000 kits have been imported since the 1970s!
where did they all go?
certainly only very few have been built into semis even fewer as spares for legally registered STEN automatics
Another example?
Switchblades which you even see regularly offered for interstate sale on the Yellow’s Flea Market
Switchblades are regulated in interstate commerace and can be sold ONLY to either Law Enforcement, Military or folks that are not capable of opening a folder…thats been Federal Law since the 60s!
yet we see them offered everywhere don’t we

Just returned from Washington State, medical Weed clinics are EVERYWHERE and in straight violation of FEDERAL LAWS

I can go on and on and on

what I am driving at is the reason things like Deacs are not regulated in Canada, NZ, even Great Britian is that the folks there for the most part religiously follow the laws compared to our citizenry

When Catalytic converters first came out and you brought your car in for a tune up it was common to tear them out or install a Y bypass pipe…heck they sold them in Road and Track, Car and Driver, Popular Mechanics, Ect
completely illegal to install

in short we are a nation of scoffalaws
this whole business of speculating on future AG regulation is no different than the asshats who were going on about military pattern semi auto firearms back in the 80s
your gun scares me, I don’t want my Winchester thutty thutty banned ๐Ÿ˜†

as far as contrasting a MAX to a Daystate…
why?
different guns for different duties
a slightly better contrast would be against an Edgun but even that isn’t very valid of a comparison in my opinion ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hopefully their whole line will benefit from the Wolverine development. Already, I wish my Air Wolf MCT Tactical had these features:

1. Bolt open disconnect. Have already inadvertently fired with the bolt open. No harm no foul but LOUD.

2. Indexing system to prevent double feeds. Had a few, no harm no foul but ANNOYING.

This from their new on-line catalog: ( http://www.daystate.com/images/reviews/catalogue-0512.pdf ) It’s on page 15, or close to that…lots of info on two pages, with pics.

Developed over an unprecedented five-year development period, the innovative Wolverine is, essentially, an all-new concept in Daystate air rifles. It incorporates many new and unique features, the most striking of which is its large calibre format. The Wolverineโ€™s numeric suffix, 303, refers to this phenomenal rifleโ€™s calibre โ€“ yes, an air rifle that shoots a .303 projectile!

A special 50 grain pellet has been designed to suit the Wolverineโ€™s Lother Walther barrel ensuring that the first โ€˜fullboreโ€™ airgun from Daystate is one that promises plenty of performance as well as power.

The Wolverine 303 also incorporates mechanical safety systems that would be familiar to regular firearms shooters; features such as a bolt open de-activator and a patented pneumatic indexing pin system that prevents the rifle double-loading when used with the 5-shot magazine. Despite a muzzle energy in excess of 100ft/lb and its full-bore load, the Wolverine 303 shoots with the general lack of recoil associated with precharged pneumatics, with shot-counts in the region of 20 shots per charge of the 250BAR air cylinder.

An integral silencer mutes muzzle report to low levels, although the muzzle is threaded for the fitting of a secondary sound suppression system, such as the AirStream ARS Moderator.

Made mostly from Aircraft grade aluminium, the weight of the Wolverine 303 belies its large-format look and, at just 7.5lb, it not only comes to the shoulder effortlessly, but handles in a manner that has become the hallmark of all Daystateโ€™s famous sporting and match air rifle models.
The Wolverine 303 โ€“ a powerful new statement from the maker of the worldโ€™s finest air rifles.

see my next post, it has the site web address to review all the specs in the Daystate catalog. Very interesting info in there!

I screwed this post up, and couldn’t delete it, so now you know how stupid I am.

Oh well, it’s late, my Depends is full, my meds need taking, and time for bed…so I can dream of a Wolverine. Why is it the best looking women and the best looking guns are always out of my price range???

E mail Air Guns of Arizona yesterday.
They do not have a firm price yet nor a firm delivery date.
I asked to be kept posted. They said they have been in direct contact with the factory and are very excited about the wolverine.

We have fully corrupted you my friend! ๐Ÿ˜†

LOL Nope I just know quality when I see it lolol. That is a good gun,.only 2 grains heavier than what I use in my Tallon tuned 25, but the size is what counts,,. They might just have something there. ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€

quote synopsys:

Compare their performance and then ask yourself, is a semiauto really worth the loss of performance and reliability, shitty ass stock, shitty cheek weld, unproven action based on a airsoft system that is know to have long term wear issues, unregulated, an fps spread than only a mother could love and a moron could ignore…

Only someone who is brain dead would buy the Evanix over a top quality Daystate for what is essentially the same price.

Exactly! And add to that the fact that this quest for semi auto and moreover, auto will ultimately be the left wing straw that breaks the unregulated back of the airgun hobby in the not too distant future ๐Ÿ™„

Jerry, I was thinking the EXACT same thing. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

I can soooo shoot that well with proper editing! ๐Ÿ™„

Now that guy has bragging rights, i tried and tried and can’t fault him, he stood Flat footed and shot that gun offhanded 50 Meters, and really threw me for a loop.. ๐Ÿ˜€ Although the Airforce 25 is close in foot pounds, it don’t get the shot count, and that Wolverine is a knock out. nuff said.
