I only have around 500 shots thru it right now and I am waiting for it to break in.
I will never reproduce last weekend’s groups but; I did shoot them last weekend!

I really don’t think that you have a clipping issue with your R3. The easiest way to find out is to remove the short front shroud tube, use a magic marker to blacken the baffle’s holes, put the front tube back on and shoot a few shots. You can then take the front tube back off and check if the black marker has been worn off, if it has been, you have a clipping problem.
If the marker has been worn off, you can buy slightly larger drill bits that you can use finger pressure to twist them into and gently ease them thru the baffles. Just start out with the next larger size and increase if needed. The drill bits will self center as they are being eased thru.
Again, I don’t think that you have a clipping problem. Please keep us posted!

I am planning a thread comparing my JB Lonestar to my R3 Standard but I have to sort out the ‘out of the box” accuracy problem of the EDgun. I am almost certain it’s a clipping issue but don’t have the technical knowledge/dexterity to do it myself 😥

I’m going to steal this topic for a minute and show you 4 groups that I shot last Sunday. These were the best 4 out of the 28, 5 shot 100 yard groups that I shot that day.
I tore out my left rotator cuff a week ago so: I shot these groups with my left arm in a sling. Not to shabby for a one armed oldgoat!
These were shot using unsorted JSB 25.4 grain Exact Heavies. I just got another 12 tin supply in from Pyramid Air and I wanted to weight sort a tin before I went to the range today. JSB has changed the 25 cal Exact Heavies and I am not sure if it is an improvement. The weight sorted new style didn’t shoot any better that the old style straight from the tin. I’ve got 16 back to back groups, new VS old and I am going to start a new topic here and on the General.

And after the repair…I believe the problem was an over stretched barrel, Ed told me that it was probably me pulling the shot and he lighten up the trigger and also filed the plate under the breach, That´s right… I got the full treatment…
A very special Thank You to ED for diverting from his vacation to see my R3 and sorting it out.
That for me says a lot about one´s character; a genuine down to earth gentleman.

The reason why it is taking me and swmbo that long to move our house is because we stop to roll in the hay (the traditional way to have sexual intercourse in Bulgaria) far too often 😀 😀 😀

Questions:
How heavy is the house?
Will you be using draft horses, oxen, or just your wife?
Will the house be “pushed” or “pulled”? (Be SURE the log rollers under the house are the same diameter at both ends, or the house will roll to the right or left…bitter experience speaking on that!)
While you are sitting inside the house, do you need two way radios to communicate with your wife, while she either pulls/pushes the house, or in the alternative…beats the living hell out of the beasts doing the work for her?
Will she be able to still iron your shirts and cook your meals while the house is moving, or do you plan to stop from time to time and let her get caught up on her domestic duties…ironing, sex, cooking, cleaning, laundry, making a list of your needs for the next day, scrubbing the floors and making the beds?
Have you considered leaving your house where it is and find another house where you are moving?
Why can’t you shoot your R3 at armadillos through a window, as your wife moves the house?
You do realize that physically moving a house will excite the rats and get them to running all over the place! Can’t you open a cold beer and pop rats during the move? In the long run that will save your wife a lot of effort running them down and choking them, after you settle in at your new location. If you do decide to shoot them, be sure your wife adds bleach to her wash water for when she picks up the dead ones, and mops up the blood! The bastards carry disease. (the rats, not your women…)
