I noticed the same thing over there. The almighty dollar always prevails nowadays. Very sad indeed.

I know the higher the scope off the bore the more loss of accuracy induced by canting the rifle.
It will also increase the amount of clicks needed zero the reticle at max close and max far distances if you don’t do mildot hold over…
I guess I asked the question wrong. I was always told it was better to keep the sight closer to the bore. A high mount makes range estimation more critical no?
Look at this image he posted…
Compare the butt stock to the “new” FX…
Hmm, I wonder if this was the bullpup presented to him in AZ? π

Looks like FX and Crosman have something in common after all, they both hate bullpups and said they would never make them.
Take a look at the Apels father & son Crosman Team bullpups. I’ll bet Crosman releases it as it’s “bullpup”.
Interesting comment….
I emailed Air Arms and they said no bullpup is under consideration at this time.
Looks like a working horse hunting rifle and it got a 350cc reservoir wow thats going to give some shotcount.
We can’t expect a classic looking gun from fx ,although I have to agree some above comments ,like it is put together in a hurry, the rail for example.
some songs get better the more you listen to it.
I wonder what animals you will attract with the pumping sound π
just joking, the sound from the muzzle seems very quiet though.
Anyway, any manufacturer who makes bullpups got my vote so :thumb: FX
Thanks for sharing Ted and Naser

I laughed when I saw the video. I guess it isn’t good marketing to see the shooter pumping his fanny off followed by a shot ot two so they adjusted the ratio (reminds me of MSNBC editing).
Although the Bobcat looks closer to the original “bullpups” and may be ergonomically superior to the Edgun and Cricket, the image leaves a little to be desired.
Maybe some walnut would help.
HOOT and SYN: you guys need to get a motel room and stop exposing the rest of us to your immoral sexting!
I hope that both of you have been βfixedβ and that you wonβt produce another bastard baby that we will all have to support with our tax dollars!
Fredricβs video of the FX Bobcat pump is more than just a little deceiving. I looks like you can pump the gun 5 times and then get 8 shots out of it. It doesnβt work that way.
I did a cut and paste from the AOA website on the full size FX Independence:
βHere is a run through of how the FX Independence works: starting with a full charge, the rifle requires three easy pumps with the onboard pump for every shot taken. The rifle can be fired up to 7 times at full power with match grade consistency before any pumping is required. From this point, 21 pumps would be required to return the rifle to a full charge. The shooter can choose any combination of shots/pumps to match the need of the situation.β
You would still have to use a fill source to fill the gun, or pump your ass off to fill it and then pump it 3 times after every shot.
Guys that have a FX Indy seem to love them. I am waiting for more specs on the Bobcat pump gun. The Indy is a full length gun and the air tube volume would be greater than the Bobcatβs. If the pumpβs piston stroke is the same, the air tubeβs volume has to be less and more pumps would be needed for each shot.
Well you do after all have the perfect cheek weld, or so I haver heard… π
Papa’s sperm had no heads. π
But don’t tell sister-ma… π
Still searching for the perfect eye relief when squinting through a sphincter.

PS: Is it true your father’s sperm had no tails??? That could account for a lot of things in your life.
Ah Hoot, I see you’re using the Fox News method of quoting yourself to provide credibility for your incredulous claims… π
I would sue you blind for defamation but a habitual liar can’t be sued under law (they call it the Fox News clause) since everyone knows they are full of shit and shouldn’t listen to anything they say, well and you’re already blind… π
With regards to rings, a consistent cheek weld is more important than the right height rings. If you have a fat head and big mouth like Hoot you’ll need a scope set on stilts. I heard he gets the best cheek weld by zip tying a long black dildo to the action so he can get his mouth around it and be in the same position each time he lines up for a shot…
It also helps keep in practice for when he needs to make a few extra bucks to get a new air gun or some weed. π―

I’m just kidding, yer like a dad AND brother to me… π
Oh wait, that didn’t sound right… π―

Does the hieght of the scope present any sighting in problems?
I always try to keep my scopes as low as possible to the barrel
Hello…I’m not Ted in Madison, but here is my answer to a similar question in another thread:
Surprisingly, the shape of your face has a lot to do with ring height.
Since there is no magazine to get above, you can use whatever height is comfortable for you.
I used mediums on the two I owned. If you have a long thin face, you may need high rings to line up correctly. If your face is round, you may need low rings. An oval face may do well with medium rings. If you are like synopsys, with your head up your ass, then no ring height will be comfortable!
A lot of individuals don’t think of this, but everyone’s cheek bone is located at different levels on their face. This affects where your cheek weld takes place and determines how high or low your line of sight is above the breech. So one size won’t fit all.
There is no formula that I’m aware of, so it’s a bit of trial and error.
So, in simple terms, the height of the scope above the barrel really shouldn’t be a problem in shooting, or sighting in, as the POI adjustments on the scope should accommodate for the distance of the breech from the tube of the scope.
The more important consideration is whether the scope’s eyepiece lines up with your eye level when your cheek in on the rifle. Too low or too high and you will be straining your neck to line up your eye to the scope lens.
Hope this helps!

Ted’s blog has the FX stats
length – 74cm (29.13in)
weight – 3.2Kg ( 7.05 lbs)
from Internet –
Matador Std specs
length – 745mm (29.33in)
weight – 2.68Kg (5.9lbs)
Cricket Std
length – 67.95cm (26 3/4″)
weight – 2.68Kg (5.7 – 5.9lbs)
so basically same length but heavier.
