Scope for my matador.
Ok guys I have a leapers 4-16×50 scope with illuminated red/green radical….now do you guys think this is an “ok” scope to have for my upcoming matador….it’s done very well on my past rifles and its been on a few of my springers….the scope was only $80.

I´m grateful for all that wisdom shared. I´ll sure use all this knowledge when the next date “rolls” about. To be sure the items needed were ,in following order:
– Chains
– Ratchet straps (those with stainless steel carbine hooks maybe ?)
– A bag of flour (how big a bag and which sort of flour is to be preferred?)
I´ll also steer clear from horses, Clydesdale´s & others – if for nothing else then so she doesn´t get any funny ideas and eat the poor animal – as you may know horse meat is the hottest thing here in Europe at the moment.

My “herd” is guaranteed by my vet to be corn-fed and disease free.
I get to choose which one attracts me, but to be honest, taking them out in public is a problem.
I had one roll off the flatbed truck I used to haul her to and from dates. The fat, ugly sow landed on a Clydesdale horse that was pulling a carriage, killed the damned horse, bent the carriage axle, and cost me a fortune!
Now I know to use ratchet straps, and safety chains, when hauling one on public roads.
I don’t know how old you are, so just take ‘Ol Uncle Hoot’s advice and be careful when hauling a “heavy hitter”. You get more for your money from a fat girl, but you’ve got to know the risks involved.
Chains, ratchet straps, and a bag of flour… you’ re pretty much ready for a night out.

A question to inform my untraveled mind…

Don’t get me wrong, our women used to be thin, leggy, and lovely.
Now, you can pretty much lay out some dried corn, or beef jerky, and lure them into the car. They are not hard to get along with, as long as you don’t disturb them when they are feeding.

I don´t believe any lube to make the gun more accurate but i thought it could help to keep the barrel in better condition. Maybe … I like to tinker and clean my guns though so nothing against cleaning the barrel every now and then. Actually i don´t know what did i except from that lube in the first place ..
I’ll be honest, I’ve used it and I’ve not used it, and I’ve never seen a bit of difference.
It’s one of those things that is optional and up to the needs and desires of the user. Many shooters swear by it, some swear at it, and others just ignore it. Pretty much all of them are good shooters and from what I’ve read, no one has ever proved an advantage over the other.
I believe it honestly makes no difference, as long as you routinely clean your barrel with a good solvent.
There’s no magic in any additive in this sport. Routine maintenance and cleaning is the basis of keeping your pcp accurate and functional.

With mildots and I hand paralaxed it at 35 meter.
It is light in weight, cheap, has no things I do not use, and does the job.
57 euro.

What´s not to believe? The Hawke does the job for all normal AR duties. I´d take one with AO/SF but nevertheless you don´t need magnification over 9x anyways if you aren´t doing competitive BR or FT shooting. A friend had a Clearidge 3-9×32 on his Eddie and didn´t have any troubles shooting upto 85 meters with it.
You won’t believe it but I’ve got a Hawke sport hd 3-9X40, without ao.

Now i need your advice on one thing : Should i use pellet lube in my new,shiny EDgun or leave the lube in the bottom of the tool box ??
Listen to the wise ol Hoot, use what you have and then decide later if you need more scope, personally I have a zeiss conquest with rapid z 1000 and I wish I did not buy it as it is over priced and I could have gotten two or three good scopes for the money I spent on the Zeiss.
