I quess thereΒ΄s already loads of Chinese knock-offΒ΄s circling around … π
A Chinese made Stealth bomber for 25.000$ + freight – directly from Greenbase !
Apache helicopter, now 18.000$, special price only for you,my friend…
Modding is totally all the fun.
I have made mod after mod to my USFT, hamsters, cheek rests, thigh rests, carry trays. Even added a few tricks and treats to my Matador to get it ready for field target matches. I can mod/experiment since both rifles shoot like a laser beam. Side note: I got to see the original USFT (The Simple Simon) in person at the Temecula Grand Prix at LD’s, even got to see the shop where it was created, very, very cool!
My mods to the AF platform were to get it to shoot better. Even went as far as to make a stock with a stand alone cheek rest to isolate the tank/collar bending thing. I never felt like it was a laser beam even at 25 yards.
It could however go from a 177 to a 25 in ten minutes or less. π
Of course i’m looking for pellet on pellet at 30 and sub 1/2″ groups at 50 (five shots per group)…
I make my own “Made in the USA” stuff… :8:
I had a Chevy truck once and it was a nightmare to work on. It required a set of standard AND metric tools to remove the air pump. πΏ One day i’d like to pick up a modern Vette with a six speed manual trans.
We do however make the BEST military equipment on the planet. π
So what. It don’t change the fact that the rifle is a piece shit off the shelf.
Mod the crap out if it and spend what a good rifle costs and it gets better, that is true. I sold my modded out AF rifle and bought a made in the USA Mac-1 USFT. Found out that an air gun can be accurate and consistent without having to mod and tune the piss out of it. THAT is quality that one can be proud of, AF, not so much.
Here is a dose of “made in the USA” reality for you… http://articles.latimes.com/2013/feb/26/autos/la-fi-hy-consumer-reports-car-rankings-20130226
Luckily the mods are not that “taxing”…and they are half the fun. I don’t know what it is but I have had many nice pcp’s and I have ended up with only two AF (albeit highly modded).
I get the made in U.S.A. thing…After 46 years of living it wasn’t until the last two years that I owned anything other than american (cars). Just got a preowned mini van for the wife and it is an excellent vehicle…it is a toyota.

Opinions truly are like “A” holes….I am going to humbly bow out of this discussion before I get my blood pressure up. It is, after all, America’s birthday today, and my beloved Airforce rifles where made in Texas :4:
LOL, that’s OK, if you like them that’s what’s important,
It’s just my Opinion, but I thought the AirForce is such a Mickey Mouse rifle I wouldn’t care if they are made at the White House π …I would never own one, if given a free one I would sell it immediatly to put the money on something else π π
[quote=”Nomadic Pirate”]Airforce was the Worst PCP I had my hands on, wouldn’t get one if it was free π π …seriously[/quote

be seen through the spaces. Is it for support?
Hmmm ??????
Sorry if I don’t know what to call it. The barrel and action can
be seen through the spaces. Is it for support?
good God Noooooo, Got an Airforce in the past, couldn’t put it in the Classified fast enought π ….no thanks, not my cup of tea π
Holy Cow, that’s like walking in the middle of prayer in a Mosque with a freshly skinned pig attached to your back! BLASPHEMER!!!! π‘ πΏ π

A Mercedes and a Landrover? How do you get by? :3: My wife’s 2013 Ford Escape Titanium has the 2.0L turbo at 240 HP. Someone told me some of the Landrover’s have gone to a similar engine.

Give an old retired man a break please…….. π
I don’t drive an Audi but continue to enjoy driving my old MB ML 63 AMG from 2008 which is more than good enough for me.. π³ π³ π³
And as I spend half a year abroad, I haven’t done more than some 20.000 miles with it…….
I’ve probably done more in my Landrover in Lanzarote when I come to think of it……… π
I’m not really into fancy cars at all…………..
As for the Cricket: If you’re used to a HW100, – the Cricket action is lightyears behind in comparison………….
In my view that is…….. π
Interesting comments about the lever on the Cricket, sounds kind of tricky in a hunting scenario (which is how you view things right ?
I was very shocked when I started handling the Cricket and realised that you need 3 hands to get the magazine in the Action π π π
Honestly that all System is sooo out of place in such a High End gun
…wait, what was i saying about the Cricket again ? LOL
You cheap bastard ! π But you have nothing against spending money on airguns, huh ??
LOL

Y’all can say what you want about Subaru… Subaru is the second highest rated automaker in the world for customer satisfaction. American manufacturers came in at the bottom. π
The older WRX (Impreza) is an impressive machine in stock configuration, not many mass produced cars would be able to beat it straight off the show room floor (high end Audi and Porsche would give it a run for it’s money but they cost twice as much). The thing that sucks the most about it is, it’s TOO good, you have to push REALLY hard to get the excitement level up. If you happen to mess up at those speeds it’s going to be bad. π The same has been said about the Carrera 4S, although I have not driven one yet… But the new Subaru line looks like crap and from what I can tell the handling has suffered too. π‘ Figures they would fuck up a good thing.
Compared to an 80cc shifter kart with sticky tires, production automobiles grip like a squished banana on a linoleum floor.
A friend has one of those Imprezas (earlier 20th century modell) and he bought one more last year but sold it for those exact reasons you mentioned. It was fugly and clumsy in comparison to his trusty olΒ΄scoot. He also has an 2010 Lancer Evo, Porsche Cayman R and now has his sights on an Audi TT/RS. Needless to say heΒ΄s one loaded bastard.
IΒ΄d actually like to have one of those F150Β΄s. A real locomotive for smallish European roads..
BTW – Gokarts are a lot of fun too! My little Audi almost feels like one, especially after the Quattro-system was massaged to react much quicker and with more agression. Now itΒ΄s like driving a rear wheel driven car (not a hint of front-end push/understeer) although it claws with all four.
