Getting it off my hairless chest
Last week I received an email from a member on here, I am not going to state who but he sent it to an email address that is not listed with this forum. Not sure how he got it but anyways the email bothered me a little. Basically it stated that I post to just post, why do I have to thank someone every time they post something, that I got the Sir Vill and SeCoda to post just post. I have no street creditability with PCP so to basically lay low. I replied back but that person never answered the email.
To keep it simple, that’s not how social media and forums work. This is a Cricket, Edgun and Bullpup forum. Connecting like minded people together. There are two types of users when it comes to forums, the passive user (lurker) and the active user. People who wants to keep the forum alive and think of topics to keep it going. Which usually leads to new ideas or new information that you may not be aware of. You see a lot of regular members on here and after talking to them a while you want to find out more about them. When someone contributes to that thread, I always thank them and try to relate to them. I didn’t create it just to create it and have it lost in cyber space. I read every entry. In this day in age of technology, many are hesitant about sharing even their first name and their occupation. So when they break that barrier I think that is a big contribution. I’ve enjoyed every submission and learn from everyone. A lot of the forum guys are sarcastic so if you can’t take a joke, you might get butt hurt. My advice to the lurkers, be more active it makes it a better experience. I don’t post just to try to rack up the numbers and catch up to the 4000 mark. That’s crazy. However, I do get excited when I see a new member with single digits contributing.
We get questions on here all the time and most of the time it is a question that has been asked 100x. How do I insert that icon with the dude hitting the horse? It doesn’t take a genius to know what the answer is when it is asked again. I try my best to help out a member in need of an answer. If it is an opinionated question that I don’t have experience with first hand but I know what have been said before, I’ll always credit others and say based on past post blah blah blah. Then usually the gurus chime in.
In regards to instigating Sir Ville and Secoda or the likes to post just to post, I can’t control them, if they want to post their orange ford focus(i know its an audi) or air gun fetish that’s out of my hands 🙂
One last thing, no question is a dumb question like they always say in classrooms. Please treat this forum as such.

No worries man, I told another member I’ve been actually busy. Other than my full-time job I am also a real estate agent. The past two weeks, after work I have to take night classes from 6pm – 10pm to be able to renew my license. I passed the test and ready to go. As for the forum, lots of members have been having issues with their guns that I can not comment on so I let the more experience guys try to help them while I take notes. I am still counting down the days until October when the US shipment is suppose to arrive. More to come 🙂

Thanks Donny, That Bio was written years ago. When I was finally getting reconition. Well, I finally made it to the top. It was a long road. But I loved it.
Sadly, I am now medicaly retired, and not allowed to do my work. 😥 I miss it so much.
What really sucks is that from time to time, i see one of my pieces going for thosands of dollars. Plenty enough to buy an Ed Gun +Cricket +Bob CATand have enough left over to do it again. 😥 I never got that kind of money myself for them. What I sold for 1500 to 2000 is now buinging as much as 11,000.00 to 12,000 USD. 😥
Guess I missed the boat on the Rich and Famous. Got the Famous, but missed the Rich! 😆 (Can’t spend Famous) 🙄
But it was sure nice after all those years, 40+, to be recognized by my peers as being one of the best inin the World in my field. 😉

Mike I read your bio on knifelegends’ website. Awesome story, these are the stuff that I really enjoy reading. How someone became who they are today. How is he so successful or why is he living on the streets. By getting to know someone, you are no longer just a number in this vast population, you become a friend 🙂

I normally dont post just because I surf through so many airgunning forums that it gets hard to keep track of what threads I started and to be honest I’m always looking for my next airgun be it new or used 😀 , but over the last few days of surfing this forum I’ve found myself drawn back to this forum if for anything the freedom of speech. Like you I was once accused of posting to much and on to many topics but at that time I was trying to gain knowledge about PCPs since all I had ever owned was springers, that was 3 years ago and while I still dont know everything about PCPs I now owned in the last 3 years over 25 PCPs and I dont think twice about tearing into a $2000+ rifle and tinkering with its guts. And just think it all started with a bunch of dumb questions and comments.
Now Im gonna head over to that Bullpup owners thread and say hello.
I still have all my fingers and toes so I must be doing something right.

Hey Donny – I’m one of the older (age wise) forum members. Through the years I’ve found that guys that feel the necessity to berate someone, that they have never met, about their ideas, feelings, social manners, opinions, etc. are to be pitied for having to live with the dark thoughts that lead to such a flood of negativity.
BTW: to the email sender – BERATE means to rebuke, reprimand, reproach, reprove, admonish, chastise, chide, upbraid, or take to task. All actions that a stranger has no moral right to indulge in.

Donny I have talked to you on occasion or posted which ever you want to call it, and to make it simple keep doing what you been doing, post as many questions and answers you want to, that is called doing what you feel like doing and which ever asshole decided to step in and show his ignorance?
