Q:

Air Tank for Talon/condor at the right size

Hello everybody,
In the past i put a Guerrila 22ci โ€“ 3000 psi tank in my AF Talon, it has a jsd valve regulator with output at 1800 + co2 AF adapter in my talon, at this moment, I was looking for consistency, but the tank and butt pad was very long, then my hands canยดt get the grip in a confortably way,
Yestarday I look in hte web a 17ci/3000 psi tank, but I donโ€™t know if it has the same length, in the wab appear that it has 12 inches of lenght, but i dont know if it measure is for all the tank or w/out valve.
On the other hand the 13 ci/3000 psi is very small- short for me, thne Anybody know if there are another tank?
And anybody if the ETAC REgulator, make more long the AF Talon?

This is the 22ci (lenght 12.5″)

Thats one DAMN NICE shot string out of a paintball tank regulator.

Do not touch your gun ever again..its shooting NICE!

26 861
27 857

Finally i`m happy, i have a very accuracy, lightweight and whisper airgun, I like this consistency ‘ and power, but i would like get an air tank with the same lenght of 17cu tank, but more wide, exactly like the AF tank (no more, i don`t like the 44 cu paintball tank, for me the talon with this tank looks weird – ugly), then i can get more some of shots ..

I want more power, so I am having Eldy send me a 457 barrel, and breech to go with it, Soon my friends the test will begin, oh can’t stand the wait!!

Oh, Maw..I’ll be watching for this one! 457..boy thats gonna put the hurt on everything.

RC, Cedric, RJ, Knife, Doug…they got to you didn’t they?

I love to see a beautiful and manly Condor, nice work, looks quiet, like hushville.

look the lenght, finally is not to long for me
Tthe 17 ci tank give me 30 shots, between 850 – 870 fps

I hope to make a video of string shoot

Sorry guy, I was just trying to throw out the info..

870 fps is a very good place to be..like you said a balance of good power and shot count.

I’m not looking for more power and why you thought I was is beyond me..I can already go around 100fp.

Camilof, I hope you realize that when you slap a reg’ed paintball tank on to your gun that you are killing your power!

All those paintball tanks ..are set to around 850psi..output. The AF tank is a direct 3000psi.

Now if all you need or want is shorter gun with low power, then thats just fine and it will shoot just like you are using Co2

How long is your barrell and what cal?

Do you believe that 870 fps with 18 grains is killing the power?
I don`t believe that, for me this power is good, it has a good balance between power, accuracy and number of shots per tank.
if you are looking more than 30fpe in .22, You must to employ a heavy pellet, and you can get it with the standar tank and new top hat and heavy hammer (you can get 70 fpe). And if you are looking MORE power may be you`ll need a more heavy pellet and a new barrel (with more twist), may be you are interested in contact to Dyotat he was making a new valve and new barrel for .257….

have a nice day

Finally i bought 3 tanks:
13 ci tank (210 cc)
17 ci Tank ( 275cc)
22 Ci Tank (355 cc)

the 22 ci tank i believe that is very long, it has almost the same lenght of the AF tank, but you must put the co2 adapter. On the other hand the 13 ci is very short-
The 17 Ci tank plus co2 adapter is a bit long than the AF tank.
Please see the Pics

the tanks left 22 ci tank,. mid 17 ci tank and right the 13 ci tank

the 17 ci tank ยดwith the CO2 adapter is only 2 inches more lenght that the AF tank

See that the 22ci + co2 adapter is very long comparate with AFtank

I am building a TSS into a carbine. The smaller diameter tank will make it possible to lower the sight line. I may even turn it into a side cocker and chop that handle off, or at least down a bit. I also plan to take either a .25 or .30 barrel and machine it to 16 inches so it is recessed in the frame some to allow me to take the edge off of the muzzle blast, but hopefully still give me some of the benefits of a longer barrel.

This setup won’t have as many shots as the big tank, but I don’t plan on using it for a day at the range. The idea is something light and compact to stomp around all day with. I could even take my old tank and convert it into a buddy bottle to top off with.

WHY? ๐Ÿ˜•

Doug,
I would be VERY interested in having a 22 CI bottle rethreaded to accept my AF high flow valve! :biggrinn:

There is a thread here already for the 4500PSI tank. Basically you will get valve lock at a minimum putting that much PSI where 3000 was planned for. But it can be useful if you use an expansion chamber. Nobody has figured that out completely and the machining of the chamber yet.
