What color of LED light is best for hunting?
I notice a bunch of rats frequenting my place at night. I plan to mount an LED flashlight on my pcp…inspired by some of the best dressed Crickets and Matadors mounted with flashlights here. Some say, green does not spook the rats. I have read about red too. Wat do you say guys?

Very likely.
On the specs for the flashlight I have…it says the width (inches) 2.01….now I know the body is 1″ so would the 2.01 be the front of the light?
Many of the Tactical’s are all 1″ like the mount. I think most with a 18650 or CR123 battery are 1″.
Can you measure it?
How would I find the outside diameter of the flashlight I have on my rifle…I have this one

But I’d like to buy the flip up filter for it but don’t know the diameter size.
Purdy cool… Oh I bought two Panasonic 3100 mah batteries – about $18.
You got a link to that $40 light??? I’d like to take a look at it.
What kind of range can yah git out of that rig? 😯 Do you have a good night video we can see?
BTW Green is best for coons – then red. Either are a lot better than white. I got a new 500 lumen tactical light that still mounts on gun but has all three LED colors (green, red, white) for $40 on Amazon. Shipped straight from HK. It uses two 18650s so its a big longer.
Edit, like this:

Then some miscellaneous mounts to attach it all to the gun. I used weaver scope mount for the LCD with DIY base. Camera was mounted with high 1″ scope mount that I honed out a bit. Torch mount was 2$ from DX. The battery is attached with leather strap for now. Some people use piece of plastic pipe for scope/camera mount or you could use two scope mounts and a piece of weaver rail (I use that when I use the system in my 10/22). I also bought a remote pressure switch for the torch for 4$ + a 18650 rechargeable battery from DX. Totals around 130$.
It does the same here at this time of the year too but it´s technically still afternoon.. I don´t shoot in the dark anyways but i probably would if i was a hunter.

IDK anything about night set-up´s and such – I´m not much for night shooting – i need my sleep.

That setup and rifle is awesome!!!
Thanks for those links, I printed a pdf (with hot links) and may do something similar for daylight shooting. :8:
To answer to your original question: Green is the best color. Most animals either don´t see the green light or they don´t care/get spooked by the green beam. So – GREEN.
Ok perfect….then we are comparing a similar product. Yes, I will not be needing the 25mm mount. I’ll pm you when I get it. Thanks for answering my questions!

Yes…that sounds correct. Then laser genetics light is listed as 8 x 1.25 and the 1.25 is referring to the front objective.
