Q:

3 Short YouTube videos, Edgun .30 .25 .22 shooting indoors

Title says it all, I posted the silly pellet trap last evening and a few people commented about how quiet the gun was so I thought I would post a few shots. I give the gun a partial fill to 220 bar and here goes. No big deal or editing at all just quick and simple.

I went back and done the same 3 shot deal with a .22 short and a .25 long and added them here for comparison. The .30 and .22 are running 885 fps, the .25 long is at 960 fps.

This fourth video is of the Freedom8 shoebox compressor being fed with the supurb !!! Rolair JC10 feeder compressor, it is all quieter in person by a good bit, as I had to camera so close it give a little bit of a false impression. I am in the shop out here all the time with it running and it is quite tolerable.

Is this any risk that they can do something dumb with those? 😛

My wife just got a new titanium a month ago, she never forgets to preheat in the cold !!,

What kinda question is that ?? Have you EVER seen ANY device ,whatsoever, women CAN`T do something stupid with ??

That will keep her fit. No Beluga´s for you! You truly should´ve listed that out already.

Ford will add it to her Titanium for $355. I am scared to tell her about them since they work from 1000 meters away. She would be trying to figure out why the car was out of gas. 😯

The reason I ask is my silly wife asked me to heat our three car garage in the winter so her car was warm in the morning and I told her that was insane. Of course I work from home so I don’t really care about it but….

All three videos up now and posted their links in the original post together.

SeCoda, I keep two little portable heaters out there and they cycle on and off even set on the lowest setting but to answer your question, I am not sure what It costs but it is worth it to me to have all that extra man cave type space and the wife likes the house decluttered as a result so it was an easy sell too !!

Never heard of real Car heaters ?? Come on – those that work with either Gas or Diesel ?? I couldn´t live without mine : I just either set the timer so it starts 20 min before i´ll be leaving home or i just push a button those 20 min before departure if i´m inside 1000 meter radius from the Car OR you can use iPhone/Androi App to start it from the other side of the World if needed.
In 20 min. you have warm and cosy car and warmed up engine or in the summer time you have cool inside and warm engine. Takes 3dl (under 12th of a gallon / hour) when working at full tilt.
Get to 20th , no – the 19th century, guys …. 😯 http://www.webasto.se/personbil/

Besides that the 30 cal seems really quiet. :4:

Ride, great vid for comparison,,, i vote for your .30 cal …it is really quite and will send the rest of .30 cals to hell …

Hi Ride, really like your air setup, did you look a CalAir compressor? Enjoyed the video, you should do more.

Regards
LarryW 😆

Thanks Ride…of all 3 the .30 is the quietest. I’ve been shooting my .22 STD yesterday…noticeably louder than my Crickets. Maybe it’s just me…? Thanks for your time in posting the vids…I like the pellet trap idea.

Yeah, but no doubt they will be a lot higher by then. AOA has (I hear) already jacked the price up by 500.00 usd over retail.

Thanks for the vids! Man, that .30 is impressive!!! 😀

Knife

I can’t knock on them because I just don’t know much about them yet, like most people, but they look like a lot of delicate parts going into them to make it all work and I am concerned about reliability, trust -vs- $1900 investment and I am hearing made in China ?? scares me. Dr Steele said his was shutting down the first day I think, something about having to take the coolant cap off to keep it running ?? I need to go back and find that. Would be a tough sell for me. Shoebox and Raptor is Kind of the same deal as comparing the single load Ed breech with the cricket Multishot in terms of never failing, I just enjoy simple with my only risk is throwing an o-ring at it once in a while. I got serious about the big dive compressors for a few days and then came back to the reality of my actual needs and what I like about the setup I have chosen. How much maintenance has your shoebox needed since you got it and how long you been using it. I got my replacment seals in for the hissy leak we talked about !! Granted if they turn out to be rock solid for a couple of years then by all means, it is a sweet setup.

I hope those Raptors work out. Then I can sell my brother my Shoebox who has a couple of Benjamin Discoveries. 😛 At $1200 (new price) + 200 + $100 (air dryer and media one time) that’s nearly a Raptor which has it all built in and cooling.

The .25 long is quite a bit quieter than the Standard .25. Also, there may be some differences in the microphone gain that affect the results.

My .25 is cranked up in the 930 ish too, I am anxious to back it down to the 885 range and see how it does !!

That switch definitely hammers on my legacy Shoebox. I use a headset near that thing but the pre-compressor is the real noise maker when it pops on.

That roll air is just under $200 on amazon, about the same price as all the others, I predict they will own the market in a few years, everybody hates those other screamers.
