Short? balding? kind of chubby? likes man cuddles and long chats on the phone?.. is that Steve from yellow?
I, myself being a bit weird and all , use my left forearm/hand under the forestock but that Sock/Rice – Springroll sounds appealing-for survival. If i ever get lost in the Wilds i can eat both my rear stock steadying devices : My forearm for that all important dose of Protein and the Rice for them Carbs … :butkick:
Lets be honest Ville…we all know how you like to rest your rifle

I figured as such but since it was 4 F here this morning I thought I would ask. :biggrinn:
Image from spring last year…… 😉
Right now they say Oslo and southern part of Norway is packed with snow. I have no clue as I am still in sunny Lanzarote…………. :biggrinn:

Hmmm…. now I’m going to HAVE to try this out: a Squirrel skin, stuffed with rice, for a rear bag. A little neatsfoot oil on the inner skin for flexibility. Can be used flat or bunched up. Maybe a few drops of neoprene to prevent skidding.
Right you are!
Ville, I love the double negative there. The “embrace:, well, twisting their heads loose is kind of that, so is skinning.
Survival mode? Seriously, if the situation was “get food” and calories, you’ll likely starve on rabbit and squirrel. You’re better off eating something larger and fatter, deer or, what the hell, feed a BIG opossum the dead squirrel for a day or two. Then eat the opossum. Cut out the waxy-looking pear-shaped glands, two in the small of the back and one under each foreleg. Then soak it in cold water (ideally with salt and vinegar added). If you don’t get the glands out, it will stink like skunk! This same method is standard for raccoon, groundhog and porcupine. Properly prepped, it’s disgusting (from a food prejudice standpoint) but tasty and you’d have to eat 40 squirrels to equal the calories. Personally, I’d opt for Black Walnuts, persimmons, Ground nut (Apios) and cattail. They’re tasty, high in nutition/calories, require no ammo and do not stink. Plus, I could save the squirrel for a rear bag, as is, and swap it out as needed.
I eat squirrel, but without butter, gravy or oil, it’s diet food. With beer, it’s a meal.
now with night vision you have to wait till past 10 then they start snooping around

Attaches via a stud screw and works like a dream………..:

Cheers

For the record – i don’t much care about neither of those Rodents. I don’t hunt them though. A friend is a licensed County Hunter ( he has a license to shoot inside City limits for Pesting purposes) and he wants me to follow on night time Rabbiting with the Cricket. Will do too when it gets back to humane temps.

Maybe not you…but when I get home today its back to hunting rabbits…so when I DO catch him…I’ll make sure to post pics of the rabbit along with the rifle that took its life….”preferably the cricket”

We embrace both Rabbits and Squirrels and would never hurt neither. Ever!!

You guys are a joke. So why not shoot a squirrel or rabbit with airgun if you are in survival mode. Or did you burn stock to keep warm. That’s why we have them right. I mean we do some other boaring stuff with them in the mean time
