Top hat/stem adjustment???
I have a 22 Cal. Condor and on the top hat it has 2 small set screws and will screw up and down for adjustment. This came to me loose out of the box and really effects the way the gun shoots. Is there a setting I can do that will make my gun consistent. I would like to Loctite the set screws when I can get it figured out.

have check my factory setting using feller there are about 0.09″ and I have put the O ring with size as your said above (approximately) the result is the sound become quiet (my silencer is work very well now, just hear hammer hit the top hat…..) and I can shoot about 70- 80 pellet from 2500 psi down to 2000 psi means very efficient.
When I at shooting range someone beside me have chrono and I ask him to use his chrono, using RWS superdome 8+ grain the velocity is about 895 fps, try only 5 shoot.
The accuracy..? for me quite ok, shoot the metal silhouette from 12 m, 20, 30 to 40 m, I aiming the target in the same point and the pellet hit all. Means no need to aim a bit above for far target or a bit below for the near target.
for 50m..? yes I need to aim a bit above from target….:)
Consistent in what, accuracy ?
Every gun is different and some a lot. I usually find the pellet the barrel likes (JSB) and adjust for the maximum accuracy I can achieve with that at the fastest velocity possible. I’m willing to give up some speed in gaining accuracy. For me accuracy is not the only thing it’s everything.
It very hard to achieve this without a crony. While checking and looking for this sweet spot, I crony and shoot to check accuracy and the speed at the same time.
But, if you are looking for the factory tophat clearance it also varies and is often said to be set to hot, my Condor SS 25 cal was at .09″ .
If you don’t have a digital caliper it’s about the thickness of a quarter + 8 folds of a $ bill.
A quick and dirty set up wail in waiting for a crony would be, a tophat clearance of .09″ with a o ring (1/4” ID x3/8”ODx1/16″ T) behind it lube with silicone grease. This alone will increase the efficiency and save you from wasting a lot of air !

I am just newbie.. just bought the condor ,177 (only this caliber allow by law in my place) about 2 month ago and I want to know more about top hat adjustment….

Do one day get a crony for yourself it is an invaluable tool in the gun world. Also try using JSB’s there the best where accuracy goes.
