I guess the $1100-$1300 price tag was a myth

Pippo…you being a man who can state an opinion with grace and dignity….well, it makes us wonder what part of the country/world you hail from?
We enjoy conversing with people of different view points, and sometimes we even agree with them.
What’s your current pcp of choice, and what would you most like to own…if money was not a factor?
Interestingly, Sir Ville visits us during “PC Hours” at a local Swedish Hostel! He recently “OD’d” on some Finnish Pickled Herring Wine that went bad on him, and he isn’t quite right in the head for now. That’s the problem with Herring wine…it tastes so bad you can’t tell when it goes sour. He’ll be fine, once he dries out. Sir Ville isn’t nearly as stupid as he looks. He’s so ugly, when he was born the doctor slapped his mother! But he’s got brains. Professionally, he hand shells walnuts at a Swedish Health Club/Hostel for Transvestites, and Finnish cross dressers. It’s not a job just anyone can do, and he makes good money and tips from his clients. He breeds aphids for a hobby, and has won several trophies in that particular discipline, so he is very discerning about what pcp’s he owns, and his opinion is respected. If only he could stay away from that damn Finnish pickled herring wine!!!
I was really interested in the Kalibr C’bird, till they made it big, heavy, and long. But like Ville, I wanted a petite, lightweight, easy to carry pcp, for off-hand shooting. A special purpose gun for those times when a fella feels a need for a break from disciplined target shooting. I’m curious about what Ville thinks when he gets his Midget Cricket.
Oh well…

Hi Ville,
according to that picture I might have some finnish roots 😯
and as for shots directly from the bottle I have a very good shot string without any tuning and deviation between shots is very acceptable

Colibri, operation manual, ” Pull Pin, Aim, Squeeze and SWEEP. Unfortunately they screwed it up. :angrymob:

I´m no expert either but i agree!
And Pippo : Just so you know – we Finns always prefer to take our shots directly from the bottle … 😯

Hi BP Lovers,
currently BPs are available in several lengths so I think the Bird will not be an exception, please stay confident.
As for bolt-action or semi-auto, maybe KalibrGun could make all of us happy with a world premiere by allowing to switch the gun between these two features. 😀
I’m not an expert like many of you but I think that technically this could be done specially if the “cycling mechanism” is passive meaning that it is taking air from the shot and not directly from the bottle.

You mean the one that´s been starring on those YouTube -videos ?? Me too – if it looked like that and wasn´t a semi-auto i´d waited for it to come available and not ordered the .177 Compact.
I agree with liking the shorter left hand bolt model over what they decided to go with.
Most would disagree, but I really like the shorter left hand bolt model 😯 😀 .

I’m not with you this time concerning the Hummingbird…Sorry Dear Uncle Hoot for being in disagreement with you on this one 😀 .
My dearest friend Pippo….
I take no offense from your opinion, openly and honestly stated, with no malice intended! Your argument was well thought out, and properly stated.
The great thing about this forum is the ability of ignorant shitheads, not unlike yourself, to express themselves, without fear of being ostracized or ridiculed!
Respectfully…your humble and obedient servant…

Hi Fat has the three daughters. No Yen too, No Fun Too, and Too Young Too. 😉 Did you notice that WWAG is careful not to call the wood stock option walnut but rather wood finish. :biggrinn:
Damn – those close-up pics Wingey posted woke that “i want one – voice” inside my head again. How´s that possible ? It is ugly. It wastes air. It´s a damned semi-auto BB gun. I need guidance from above … or down below … :darth-vader:
Wang Po Industries ?? Is that a part of the Hi Fat Holdings / Snowcone Air Rifles Ltd. ??
In some respects, I am with Hoot. If it was shorter and looked more like the old one and was lever instead of semi, I would be much more interested. As far as the tank, I like it. I too would prefer the Leyla. So what if it is single shot. I have always tried to make the first shot count anyway. I have never cared much for a semi. You tend to waste a lot of ammo with them. I would prefer that the air used to cycle the action of this thing was used to send a pellet down range.
Pippo is definitely right about the cost of these things. Whew! That keeps me from owning the current BP offerings. Maybe Wang Po Industries will build one worth owning at a price worth paying. Stranger things have happened.
Different strokes for different folks.
Dear Uncle Hoot,
I’m not with you this time concerning the Hummingbird, OK a few inches shorther would be better but this will probably come but honestly I like the gun.
Don’t want a semiauto? Where’s the problem? Just don’t buy one, there are plenty of choices today if you prefer bolt action.
You want a semiauto? Here’s the problem, they don’t exist currently, specially in BP version.
I wish it would cost 600$ or even better, less than that but honestly the problem is that today ALL the BP are overpriced, starting from the EDGUN but if the price is right for an EG (and I don’t think it is) then the price of the bird is probably correct as well. Why should a KalibrGun cost that much less than a EG?
(In my opinion the real problem of the Cricket today is that they come out too shiny, they look just perfect and too nice to be carried in the fields and so they don’t look like tanks. The problem of the tanks looking rifles is that often they handle also like tanks, look to the EG trigger, even if I heard that today they are better)
As for the Lelya, ok we are back to the thing that “size matters”, not enough is not good and too much neither, the Lelya is just too short to be shot comfortably and it is the most overpriced gun on the market today IMHO.
Sorry Dear Uncle Hoot for being in disagreement with you on this one 😀 .
