Cricket standard vs compact .22
New guy question.
Have a .22 compact in the shopping cart and just want to get the expert opinion.
Should I switch to standard?

O.K. It´s a pitty the WST stock is going to the Grave. It looks good and it´s light in weight. So – it seems you soon have quite a collection of them Bugs too. Way to go!

From now on the .25 is and comes with a Bulldog stock in correct length.
Does that short stock make it weirdly balanced or maybe it just looks that way ? Looks like the Bipod sits almost on the middle of the length of the Gun. Like said maybe it doesn’t feel as weird as it looks. What do i know …

Your right it looks funky for sure but actually holds offhand the same and rides the bipod just fine with out any feeling on nose heaviness. I would like the bipod to be further out for sure if that option existed. I am likely ti buy a long bulldog stock and keep this one as well since it fits both other crickets as well.
Don´t bet on that! ” A very sparingly used , condition like NIB , never been outside except when at least 70F and winds from South/Southwest …” has turned out to be something very different on numerous occasions – if you don´t collect it in person and have a change to shoot at least a couple of mags thru the Bugger …
I am going to get another Cricket but I will only buy used so I will at least know what the hell I am getting.
Hurry up! The WST version for .25’s is no more. I quess that’s why they’ve put those .22stocks on them for people who ordered a WST .25.

Talked to Steve today, he is talking to his distributor about getting longer stocks, sounds like a bit of complaining but it is the only way they came in this time. I didn’t mind to much at first but the more I look at it the more it bothers me. He is working on it.
Personal taste I know but IMHO the Cricket is a so much nicer looking gun 😀

I like that reasoning. I have a hw100 so I may as get THE bulpup. Plus the usual answer buy both may eventually come to fruition. Thank you!
Here is my .22 compact at 24″ long and my .25 at 33″ long I just see no reason, at least in my case to get a 27″ gun when they make a 24″ in it’s place. I am getting ready to order a N.C. shroud for the .25 to shorten it to be very close the the length of the air tube. See how the 25 looks like too much gun and too little stock. Ed lengthens the stocks on the long Edguns and I like that for bipod mounting and getting a longer rest radius. I am adamant about wanting short, I always like the shortest guns best and always grab for one of them first.
WTF ? You have a STD stock on your .25 ?? It´s too short for that gun, young man. Contact the seller and get the proper stock for it.

I vote for the long one, i’m label to shoot my finger off with that little short one.
no really , im used to a 50″ long airforce condor (13″ shroud) so the longer one really seems short to me.
