Q:

Updates to the newest batch of Crickets

I received a brand new Cricket .25 WB destined to my friend and it´s of the newest batch, made March 19. 2014. There´s a new, wide clamp scope bridge and the new WB stock (similar to the not yet released .35 stock) has two stock screws too. I took a couple of pics of the new scope bridge and you can see it´s wider and has two extra clamping screws beneath the airtube. All this should aid in more rigid barrel mount where the airtube and it´s pressure doesn´t have as much effect on the POI.
Now the whole Weaver-rail is also detacheable.

I´ll take some pics tomorrow so you can see how it looks complete with the new stock. Definitely an update.

Ville cheek piece is quite modified or is it only my semblance ? I waited what kalibrgun do with this because in russaian forums were couple of claims regarding to POI change due to missing second screw point. Now it should be answer…

I see couple of modified barrel & cylinder holder with added second screw point….

The cheek piece is actually mine , from my WST. I borrowed it to him while he´s waiting for his to arrive. KalibrGun , for some reason , had send it without the CP but it´s already sorted so he´ll have it soon enough. Since i´m allround nice, humble and wholesome Guy i let him borrow mine.
Yep – i think the double attachment point is a good move – together with the broader clamping area AND the second clamping underneath the airtube. Should do the trick by releasing most , if not all , of the unwanted tension.

Hopefully someone that at least is old enough to grow pubic hair. That RW “bloke” looks like he´s in early teens or something.

Actually it doesn´t matter what age/gender/sexual orientation/religion the new one has as long as the honourable does fair business at fair price with good customer care. The rest takes care of itself. :geekn:

Real shame tho tbh only down falli had with my cricket esp when order form states walnut orderd the early stocks. Was fine examples i no lp had plans with kalibrgun uk and ratworks in uk but kalibrgun uk dimion has vanished now mind u shops are dropping them in uk for. What wood s that sv that looks beech too why have they started to use a inferior wood up to the original guns its crazy

IDK. I only know about my own Wood and that´s bona fide Finnish Pine …
Lukasz Parsley in Poland (LP Stocks) has started a co-operation with KalibrGun (to my knowledge it is so anyways) so maybe they´ll offer some fancy WN and whatno t- wood stocks as an upgrade or something. Who the hell knows with those crazy Russians anyway ? 🙄

My synthetic stock .22 calibre Cricket with the older scope mount/barrel clamp has an extra bolt passing through the pistol grip which just screws into a disc shaped nut. This bolt appears redundant, as it secures nothing. Could this be the newer stock?
Does the new Cricket have the second bolt going through the pistol grip?

Yes, it has. :fishinghole:

Here are the promised pics. The new owner e-mailed me a couple :

I quess it´s not cheaply/easily doable – to change to the new bridge/clamp alone after all. The recess in the stock (where the clamp/bridge sinks into) is wider and deeper on the new stock.

Highly recommend this setup for a .22:

Thanks Ernest. Looks nice.
So I have to make a choice between size and volume. I think I will go with your more quiet configuration despite the size increase. I can always switch the shrouds as needed.

The 7″ 1 3/4″ OD LDC unscrew when you want to be shorty.

Excellent!

The OEM ones are (probably) made out of some Russian rubber recycled from those old bandwagon buffers or such = so-so quality. Since you´re probably US based contact Ernest (Sniperlabyo here at TAG) and order one of his sets. Those are of a proper rubber / nitrile/whatever . :ugeekn:

What wrong with OEM orings and which do you recommend for replacement?

I wonder if the currently $300 reduced price crickets in US include this improved model?
I been debating getting a 25 or 177 but the Hbird and the Vulcan put me on the waiting mode to see what’s coming next. This is a new development.

I don´t know. This is from the newest of batches and i don´t know when they changed the specs. The Reg is also set at 125B and we´ll dive (Fux it up) into his Bug the next weekend to change those pesky OEM o-rings. I´ll check the Reg / valve closer by then – and the rest of the innards.

I promised more pics but i forgot the whole thing while we were shooting in the nice spring weather. I´m not very found on photoing and filming things so i simply forgot all that. He did take some pics so i´ll ask him to send me some and i´ll post them here.
