Oops…… Killed the Stock Hex Bolt
Please assist guys.
Either a rubbish steel in the Kalibrgun bolt or my keys need replacing.
So now have a stock connecting hex bolt with a stripped head……
Can anybody suggest a decent hex bolt to replace the broken one? Size and material
4 X 25 in a decent steel?
Many thanks

Good deal. I wonder why he thought it was UNEF? 😯
Exactly what i thought : Metric. 5mm = M5.

The synthetic stock bolt is a 5mm x 0.8 x40mm button-head socket cap screw, I purchased a few in S/S and some black oxide alloy steel.
The WST version takes a 5mm x 0.8 x 16mm socket head cap screw. 😉
Why make it easy to a customer when you can make money on them …

Cool. Some US companies like Savage are known for using those custom bolts for their stocks. It makes it a real pain to replace unless you go to them.
That one is either M5 or M6.

Yep. I’ll check that out but i’m pretty sure all the bolts on a Bug – whatever model – are metric.

You might be right on the Cricket. I am just referring to the size he specified being UNEF,
I would start with Fastenal that has locations in every major city at this point.

I seriously doubt them being non-metric, my friend. Every other bolt on a Cricket is metric, they’re made in Europe- the Home of the metric system- so why the hell would they use some UNEF for stock bolts?? Makes no sense. I have a WST though so i don’t know for 100% but as said i doubt them being other than metric.

Those are UNEF and not metric or standard. There are some manufacturers in the US that might carry them that handles non-standard fasteners. Normally, you would go back to the gun manufacturer or dealer for those.

Not here. STD bolts. It could be tough in US though. Didn’t thought of that …

Thanks. By the way, does anyone know where to source the long synthetic bullpup stock for the 0.25?

Thanks allot rearsprocket. I have been looking for a new one for mine since the day I got it. My measuring device measured it a #12 fine thread and they were impossible to get. These works great just had to cut it shorter a bit to make it work. But I have a nice deep socket now..
