cricket stock weight
Have anybody actually weigh these things? (Yes, I searched and found nothing). I have the tactical model, and the stock is VERY light. I can’t imagine the skeleton or walnut bulldog stock being much lighter. The rifle without the stock is HEAVY, adding the stock is not noticeable in weight.
So does someone actually have the weights of the 3 different stocks in grams?

Its true the synth stock is heavier than the wood. My 22 caliber synth stock is 2.9 lb. No mags!

How can I ever regain your confidence in my ability to weigh a stock, read the scale and tell the truth…Uhhhhh…maybe if I could only learn to read a simple scale? ROFLOL

I just took my synth stock out and put it on scale.

As a definite proof, I need to see full picture, zoomed out to make sure no tampering is being done. I need to see full stock on the scale. Also if you happen to have a 5lb weight, please weight that too as reference.
It has the BT17 rail on it not sure on the weight of that. No magazines in the stock either
all the numbers don’t add up! I’m going to ignore all the liars (LarryR) and believe my eyes and go with losdrivare…
it seems like the bulldog walnut stock weight 845 + 100 g = 945g = 2.08lbs
The synthetic is definitely a little lighter, so it’s probably around 2 lbs.

Walnut Bulldog (WB) stock is 845 grams or 29.7 oz without the mag holder. The mag holder with screws weights 100 grams.
I removed the 4 mag holder from the synthetic stock as I viewed it as extra baggage (weight) that I didn’t need to carry…but then I’m old and decrepit….
Finally got the answer I was searching for. A whole 2 lbs difference, WOW. I just refused to believe it! The tactical stock felt so light…. I’m going to have to weigh it myself then.
2lb difference? no way. More like less than 1lb
I recall asking Charlie from WWAG and he said he weighed them and found them to be 1.4lb, 2.2lb and 2.7lb for the skeleton, synth, and wood respectively. that’s for the 22 caliber though so the 25 may differ a little but not a lot.

My .25 Cricket synthetic was heavy as a log, close to 9 lbs. Unless the wood is unusually dense from old growth forests, the synthetic stocks are going to weigh more. As LarryR and I both know, being old is only desirable if you were born as a tree! Further, only trees can guarantee you “good wood” as you get older! That’s just plain sad…

I don´t get the fuzz. The synth. stock is , and has always been , heavier than its wooden “Skeleton” brethren. Anyone stating otherwise is either (and in the following order) :
– mathematically challenged
– a troublemaker
– Arkansanian, probably from the outskirts of Toad Suck
– dumb as a box of rocks
– all of the above
