This is autocad file of the proken piece
yes, thats correct English terminus technicus
EDM( Electric Dischare Machining) will do a neat job if you have easy access to it.
Guys about method #2. I know it from my friends cricket. He did absolutely stupid thing when he clean the gauge from original lube. He had already clean out gauge and all parts and he tried functionality and forgot the spring is installed and cock the gun without completely assembly. He pressed trigger… and hammer cut both those pins from the bottom π
I saw it on my own eyes. I thought it is absolutely path situation but he find someone with spark-out machine. After 2 days he got gauge back like brand new. π Put new pins inside and no problemo.
Me and AZ talk long about this–the best options is #1
when removing the broken cocking plate, just break the forward pin only there’s enough room to slide out the cocking plate, reinstall new cocking plate, assemble action internals—> the action will work without the forward pin, I have 3 action working without that pin. but I did punch out one action from the rear and reinstall a new pin. if your not dead center on your location from the rear—enlarge hole till straight line shot to press new pin, so if one of them break again—-easy fix as long as you have extra parts. have a machinist that can make one and heat treated—-to costly
π Yes, this is exactly what I thought. I saw this part welded already on russian kalibrgun forum. One guy had broken same part but I canΒ΄t remember how he put together.
What I know those pins are pressed and there are two possibility how to remove it.
1) I have seen on already mentioned russian kalibrgun forum – bore with small drill from opposite side and smash this pin through that hole. http://forum.kalibrgun.ru/index.php/topic,2292.0.html%3FPHPSESSID%3Dj07lv6mnm9s5qmm6vjrntjjh20&usg=ALkJrhiYANAfmHeAtgsSmdWrcq_62_toHw – use google translate
2) break those pin and find someone with the tool called “spark-out” holes. Then buy new two pins and insert it into the free hole.
Now I understand your idea about the 2 pins
We have welded the broken piece
But realy imbossible to get it back without removing the pins
Now any idea or help how can remove the pins

There’s no problem getting parts for Crickets. At all. This guy lives in Egypt and bought his Gun from US since there are no KalibrGun dealers in Egypt.
I can get a hold on Cricket parts in a matter of days regardless the Russian situation. Any good dealer has a spare gun or two to strip parts from if needed.

It really depends on who you bought your Cricket from, while it is true that some parts can be hard to get due to all the political issues currently going on in Russia (some key parts are made there). Over here at WWAG I know Steve has swapped parts from a new in stock gun to help customers out with parts that are difficult to get right now, BUT we will have to verify that the gun was purchased from WWAG.
I just got reminded in the 1970= 80s when the snowmobiles just got going. We had to work on them all week so we could ride them on the weekends. That’s what I’ve been hearing with the crickets.
Hey what’s with all the talk we have been hearing about dealers having parts on hand for there customers. What a joke. I pity all cricket owners.
Problem will be when you want to get new piece back. I think without removing those two pins it will be impossible. π
We use ernest video to get this piece out of the breech
when he broke the hook, the plate just slide out, nothing on the way. The two pins maybe still there. the two pins are really hard steel, cannot be bended.only can be pull straight out.
I have read about this two pins on Russian forum they are pressed to the gauge and is very difficult to remove them.
