Q:

Hard to beleave , But true

I know, I know, Looks like I am going to have a 22 Cricket in my hands around 12 noon this Thursday,,,
If this gun shoots anything like you guys say I am going to be tickled pink,
My first step out of the springer stone age was with a 25 Marauder, About the same time my range was cut down from 120 yards to 48 yards,,, The Marauder has ruled at the 48 yard range, Dead on, Unless the sparrow jumps, :smilen:
Since day one of the PCP guns forms (November 2013 ) I have lusted after a bull pup
I have been so impressed with the 25 Marauder, I just can not wait to get my hands on the Cricket.
I may indeed wipe out the sparrows in my area, May take a few years, :smilen:
Excited , Hell yea,,,

It sure does. I’ve had dozens of scopes over the years and have been luck so far. Send it back d explain what’s wrong.

A good scope for the money. :fishinghole:

Well I just checked and it defiantly won’t focus on anything close when on 8x mag, ranged some trees at 80 yards then set the wheel to 80 and it was just a blur, turned it all the way up and down, can’t see a damn thing unless it’s on infinity.
Does this point towards a defective scope?

Sounds to me that it’s not working correctly. It should be clear if your shooting at 25 yards and the side focus is set at 25 yards same as if your shooting at 50 yards etc….If it’s set at infinite and it’s clear at 15 yards or 25 yards then something sounds wrong because it should blurry at that close range. Just my :2cents:

Sorry to dig this post up but, I also have a mtc viper connect on my cricket, it’s on low mounts and gives me a flat tragectory from 26 to 60y when set to 8x mag!! My question is with regards to the focus wheel, I have tried using it but found that no matter the range the image was clearest when set to “infinite” it’s my first scope with this function so I have nothing to compare it with, just doesn’t strike me as correct, I have a range finder so I get on fine without the focus adjuster. Just feel that I payed for that thing so I should know how it works especially after a year!! Can anyone help?
Thanks

No, the wheel size (diameter) simply determines whether you must turn the focus side wheel more or less turns to focus the scope accurately at different shooting distances.

A larger diameter focus side wheel, requires a bit more turning back and forth, but will permit very precise adjustments on distance indication/clarity/determination of pellet drop due to longer ranges. Helps you know which vertical mil-dot to use.

Think of the larger diameter focus wheel as being the second stage focus knob on a microscope. The first stage gets you to where you are fairly clear on what you are looking at, but the second stage adjustments permits you to move the lens up/down in much smaller increments, thus allowing you to “zero in” on the best image and clarity.

A big side focus wheel is a good thing…that’s my opinion. Not everyone agrees, and not all brands of scope focus wheels have the same fine adjustment capability, regardless of wheel size. But as a rule, big wheels are more forgiving when you are tying to zoom in as best you can.

Hoot:

Not sure what that means?? 6” wheel, Do I need a smaller wheel?

Sighted the gun in , Fired off a fast three shots in center and moved left to right shooting the numbers.

You will like your tune, Always there to talk to you on the phone and answers E mails pretty quick. I real down to earth guy,,,,,,

Yeah I have the MTC Viper on mine as well with some High sports match adjustable rings. Can’t wait to get her back, Ernest has her now, about to do his thing on her (Tune and designer set at 900 FPS /18 jab’s).

Yes the pellets were clipping the wire, I took off the shroud and stuck a round wood stick down in the shroud and smashed all the wire back down ,
Did not get a chance to test it out,, I went out looking for one inch high scope rings,, None to be found anywhere, Got some coming from Ebay,,
Mike

You have an aftermarket shroud that’s clipping? Been there.
