Q:

No more Compact Crickets being made

According to the update email from Steve at WWAG they’re discontinued and Wild West is buying all they have.

I’m really glad I got mine.

I just listed mine for $2000 with the scope and wood bulldog stock and some ammo.

So that means i’m a proud owner of a collector item – to – be then ? What a glorious day ! 😉

Yes – and the .177s were special order.

Those who didn’t buy from WWAG when they had the chance blew it. The compact is gonna be a collector item now. When I sell mine, I’m going to set the starting price at $2000. Wouldn’t be surprise if I sell it for $3000. Easy moneys!

If so, Kiwi-Master….couldn’t a fella just order a compact air cylinder and barrel, then convert his standard to a compact?

Any overhang with the stock could be chopped off with an ax and made smooth with some duct tape!

Hoot:

Absolutely Uncle Hooters, as long as your trusty importers of Kalibrgun are happy to bring those parts in for you. The stocks are the same on the compact and standard so no Canadian lumberjacks or duct tape needed :mrgreen:

Bullpups = Short and light

Now it seems Bullpup = just move the action back so you can then make it longer

I agree totally.. seeing all these long ass blunderbuss bullpups with huge suppressor extensions makes me think “why not just buy a full length rifle?
Bullpups are meant to be SHORT.

Just to be clear.. Kalbrgun are still selling all the parts for the compact cricket including the air cylinder just no longer making the complete compact PCPs.

That’s why I jumped while the getting was good, and if the mounting method evolved into something that I could not use from future designs. The 2lb diet on the .25 was a nice change.

They are more expensive and slower to make. KalibrGun even charged more for them in their catalogs even though we saw the same prices in the US. Probably the lattice work.
