.25 shot string !!!!! extreme spread of 140 fps???? help….
got my pro chrono today. first i tried adjusting it and realizing that it would not stay in the range i wanted. first it was at 970 then i backed it out like 3 turns and it was at 1033 and i was very confused so i backed it out to flush and it was around 940, at this point it just kept jumping all over the place even with the slightes movement of the hammer spring screw. i got it to around 900 after about 7 mags then i cleaned my barrel and lubed my pellets with mac1. and started this shot string at 148 bar.

IS THIS NOT A CRAZY SHOT STRING?????????? i dont think my regulator is working very well? please help i must say that i have just barely over 700 shots through the gun does it just need more shots to breeak in?
seriously i am getting more and more dissapointed with kalibrgun the more i test it and shoot it 😕

the only thing i need to do now is polish the trigger components because it has a little bit of grittiness. its not bad at all but when I am benchrest shooting and trying to do a slow even trigger pull I can feel a very slight grab and sometimes it makes me pull off.
I am going to polish all the internals, I have about 1500 pellets through her, maybe a little more, when I have to replace my first o-ring, I am going to tear her all apart, replace all the o-rings and polish anything that shows wear. I just wanted to get the gun all broken in first.

Mine is self tuned, with depinger. I like to tinker myself. I thought about venting the shroud but to be honest, I shoot in by back yard with no complaints. I haven’t ported or lightened.
What mods do you have done to your gun? Or is it ernest tuned?
Your Cricket shoots a lot like mine, I haven’t crony’d mine in a while because it shoots so well. I’ll try to run it next weekend. I am curious if it has changed or settled in, it’s so consistent though.

That sounds about right, mine shoots at 905 fps. I get 4 mags or 48 shots from a 200 bar fill shooting down to 100 bar. That is using 2.08 bar per shot. I use a scuba tank to fill from so I just fill to 200 bar. If I could get it up to a 220 bar fill I would get approx. 58 shots

From 182 bar to 95 bar, I get 39 shots with my last three shots dropping kind of low but still useable.i am using 2.2 bar per shot. Heres a video of my shot string pause the video as soon as you start it so you can see my start bar.

A ported valve and thinned valve stem, has really helped with my fps to psi efficiency. I am going to try and get a video of my shot string. :biggrinn:
95 bars and 912 FPS in .25? How can that be? My reg is set at 120 bars and I barely hit 920 FPS in .22 with JSB Exact. I use the strongest spring.
GKU! Thank you again. Right now I reset my reg to push just a little faster. I will have a new shot string as soon as I fill up again. But as of right now I am get 912 av and my fps does not drop until about 95 bar. I am very excited to start pushing the accuracy limits now :biggrinn:

my fps does not drop until about 90-92 bar.
That sounds like you got it dialed right in :8: :8:
The regulator is probably set around the 110 – 115 bar…. once it falls off the reg u wont notice it because you have it tuned just about right. between the hammer and the valve springs it floats it down till the pressure gets so low it wont hold the velocity any more….. you did good looks to be a good tune

I am adding these pics so that I can use this thread for information for ppl going threw similar things.
depth of the valve spring .230 inch
thickness of the valve stem .117 inch
th inned to .096 inch
about a 1/2 and inch is thinned from valve seat.
i apparently did not adjust my reg right. lol
i polished each individual reg washer by rubbing two together on both sides, with polishing compound and reinstalling those two washers back in together. took about an hour.
thats more like what i wanted should be around 115 bar
slightly ported and polished valve for better airflow works well together with the thinned valve stem.
when disassembling the reg.i noticed that the end that hits the delrin block to close off air flow had some very tiny machine marks or scratches right at the edge. so i used this q-tip with some polishing compound to polish those out. i forgot to take a pic of it so heres the q-tip 😀
