Q:

Flyers???

What causes a flyer is it the pellets or the barrel? My Vulcan will shoot a good group but to many flyers.

I got my part back from oak with interest.. But I’m guessing it’s because it was an airforce part and he is selling his.

I gave The Shooter some Turtle pooop from that Turtle I strapped Zonks t00L to. See it’s the little things that make folks smile.

That’s right eeelect I told Zonk that I sent his t00L back strapped to a Turtle – Turtle Express, however there is a well know Fence that separates the turtle routes between Ohio and Pennsylvania. The Ohio elitest think their turtle pooops the shit. However this plays into my favor Zonk will never see that t00L. Ville bought Zonks t00L for 3 Crones I am payin the rent! Ask Zonker bout the check I sent him 2 months ago for Ville MCT scope. It still didn’t get to him snail mail. Zonk just don’t talk about this stuff with the high blood pressure and all.

 trust me eelect I’m finding that out. I got a package in the mail yesterday from Oak thinking it was my “tool”, turned out to be 2 nails in the end of 1/2″ doll rod………

That’s what I was thinking. Oak keeps telling me it’s in the mail, but I think he tied it to a turtles back and pointed it west.
I miked the baffles in my shroud and all measured .243″ so I enlarged them to .250″. Shot 3 mags and groups were right where they should be. Didn’t seem to be any flyers.

Hoot: I will lower my fps as soon as I get my adjuster back from Oak. I know I could use two toothpicks or a pair of needle nose pliers or two nails but I want to use the proper tool for the proper job at hand. Or you could send me yours as it would be fast than waiting on Oak. :suprisedn:

What t00L

I’d also check the shroud to see if any clipping is happening. When I take my shroud off my groups stay tight, with it on it opens up a little. I’m going to lightly ream the baffles to see if this helps.

Clipping should affect all shots, not cause occasional flyers.

Why not try a lower pressure first? Adjust the fps, or perhaps vent the rear of the shroud. Unless there is a physical sign of clipping, you can make the gun louder by enlarging the baffle holes too much. Removal should not be over 1000th of an inch. The tighter the baffle/pellet fit, the more effective the sound reduction.

Just a thought based on prior outright disasters, explosions and fires caused when former forum members tampered with their baffles. They are all dead now…so we will never really know what happened. Mostly closed coffin funerals…

Kind regards,

Let me know how that goes zonk
