Vulcan problems
Is it me or does it seem the Vulcan is having a lot of teething problems,
I am a big Vulcan fan, I watched Star Trek all the time,

Man Ville I had a Anschutz Model 54 and a 64, wish I wouldn’t have sold them….
Thanks! Sold my Anschütz since this one outshot it.
the Weihrauch name is an institution in the world of airguns. is the Vulcan really, really that good?
I am a long way from owning one much less touching one Vulcan in my old hands.
the Vulcan is reaaaly good. I was waiting for a HW bullpup but It never materialized. Damn you Weihrauch!
so money went elsewhere
I don’t shoot them anymore, the Vulcan is the toy these days
Nice Weihrauch Ville 😉
I have one of their. 22LR models: HW 66

.25?
the Vulcan is really good, I may sell my 2 other Weihrauchs to get another one in different calibre.
My take on the 22 and 25 cal pups are that 25 cals are out of box to loud for me !
I had a 25 cal AF Condor SS that produced 50 fpe at the muzzle.
It was quit quiet but just to long to bring up so I sold it.
Until someone can but out a 25 cal Bullpup that is out of box quieter without adding any innovative aftermarket length to the gun, I’m just looking.
Might be just as well to jump up to a 30 cal ………. which are known to be quieter then a 25.

I have a 22 cricket and 25 Vulcan and both guns are very very nice pieces of work. I’m not sure if I’d buy a 22 Vulcan over a 22 cricket. But I have not spent enough time with a 22 Vulcan. I would definitely not recommend anyone buying a 25 cricket over the Vulcan so that’s my take.

Yes you should have gotten a 25. You have too many 22s.
For the rest of us I am glad you got a 22 so we could have someone to compare guns apple to apple.
I echo what Zonk said. My cricket overshoots the Vulcan and has a smoother action. But my comparison is invalid and biased as I am comparing a well tuned 22 to an out of the box 25.
LB?
There is something about a lever with mechanical advantage over a direct drive bolt system the Vulcan has.

Waiting a 1710 HB as we speak. The permit processing time is ridiculously long these days and in Sweden you need to apply for each and every gun separately.
We’ll see how that stacks against the HW 66 – the 64 actioned 1416 HB wasn’t up to that.
