50 yard groups Compact, THE BABY
The Baby has a SWFA 12×42 mounted in Leupold cantilever zeroed at 50 yards. Like the Leyla this is not the easiest gun to shoot off a bag. I think my results would have been far better if the gun was put in a proper vice. I think Donnie just picked up a vice that will accommodate the Baby. The Compact was Killing shotgun shells at 55 yards almost every shot with a few misses.

Hussain I have owned them all. I don’t have just one gun. I have owned 3 Mutants. A standard and 2 shorts. Every gun you have reviewed except the Ataman I have owned or I currently own one.
Them 2 have nothing to hide when it comes to the shorty… or any gun for that fact.

Many folks got stuck with a product they did not know they were getting. It is my understanding you can get great replacement barrels from Dman or wait for the company to make reporations with a CZ barrel or something comparable. I have a replacement barrel and I am happy as shit on ritz. I am a ruthless asshole when I find issues or manufacturers or vendors lying or airguns or airgun products not living up to what is being claimed. I am a Dick ask anyone Sniper. But Dman is correct my gun is a great gun. I sold off a Cricket (GREAT GUN) Vulcan .22 (Another Great Gun) Humming Bird (Another Great Gun which is rare) Edgun Leyla .20 Caliber (Another Great Gun semi rare) and kept my Baby with a d0g damned Twainese barrel machined by James of MA because to me it does every thing I need. No one pays me. No one buys my guns. I end up loosing money selling them just to find what I need. I was actually one of the folks who got a Baby with a real bad barrel this entire Baby issue started with me and Soze. I ragged Steve of WWAG for the barrel issue and I was vocal and protected no one including this gun. Along with being vocal about issues with guns and products I am vocal about how great products are as well. I am also vocal about how great this gun is. That’s my story and I am sticking with it. :fishinghole:

Oakie, an amazing trigger? My expectations are based on the opinions expressed on this forum. Now I can hardly wait. I hope the CZ barrels have the accuracy of those custom Taiwanese barrels like the one in your sample. If not, I suppose there’s still an available cure.

Barrel is from Twain. JSB 15.89 grain
Oak, what pellet are you using in your Short (and barrel)? Have you tried other pellets before arriving at that pellet?

Today 42 degrees calm 15.89 shooting between 808-813fps 12 shots 20 yards ragged hole. :fishinghole:
Thanks. That’s why I bought you your own pet Crow Ernest so you stop kill mine with those thirties. They put big holes in her. And the sickest part of it is the little laugh/chuckle you make each time you hit and it gets pushed under the brush or down the hill. Nice gun collection :fishinghole:

Great shooting, wish I was there with you to shoot that crow you gave me–would have been easy at 100Y.
Here’s my Baby .30 beside the Impact for size comparison——–>she the shortest.

More guns you shoot the better you are able to decide what fits your needs. My baby is barely broken in and shooting very well. I may have 275-350 shots through the new compact. I would shoot it daily but it has been rather cold and weather has been snow or rain on the days I had a chance other stuff had to be done. This gun is just FUN TO SHOOT! That is why I bought a second Compact.
