Mutant Shorty .17
I would like to have it in the .17. And was trying to get Peter to order me one. Told me he was going to order a few next order. That was the February 28. Not sure if there was ever a next order.
Seems things have cooled down some. So who would be my best bet of getting a shorty in .17 now?

Pretty sure even though the .22 and .25 are more they should all be under 1FPE when coming straight back down. I think an average .22 pellet is right around 1/2FPE.
It pretty well seems the 177 in the shorty Mutant is dead, If any one could get them it would be Charlie at Georgia Airguns,
If the price was right I might be tempted to put a deposit down on one.
Sure would like to see some stats on one,,,
75 shoots at 940 FPS on a single fill, Be cool to me.
My thoughts are a 177 pellet coming down makes a lot less damage then a 22 or 25,,,

FWIW….I have an early and RARE .177 Vulcan and it is simply awesome! Over 10 mags (130 shots) on a single fill shooting JSB Heavies at 905fps. If you miss a nickel at 50 yards with this gun………you can’t shoot! If you want a great .177 bullpup these are tough to beat!
If I get a shorty .177 I have would have to get another walnut stock. The one on my .22 is near perfect. :biggrinn: I like that Charlie checks the guns over.
I been told by Charlie at Georgia air guns, It takes three people to make a group buy,
He is checking with his dealer if he can get them in 177,
I did not ask a price but I am thinking 1,100 bucks with a group buy,,,
I think there is a lot more than three people that would jump on a 177 CZ barrel Mutant.

Can you not buy from European dealers? Ones, say in Portugal?
Yea , But I think you live over there You know across the big pond, Here in the USA I do not think we can order direct from the factory

I am trying to contact Boris, and find out the contact information for Taipan. Either that, or go through Steve like everyone else but he doesn’t have .177 in stock.
I’m also looking at bring in some.177 Vulcans. Any interest in those? if so, call me 714-612-5956. If nobody calls, then I figure there isn’t an intersest and I won’t bring in .177.
Mike have you tried Charlie at Georgia Airguns? He is a Mutant dealer. Something tells me if you have a solid number guys ready to leave a deposit he would probably order 177 Shorties. Not sure but worth a try.

If the Mutant .17 shorty was on sale at 1100 like the 22 ,
I might be able to pull a trigger on one in june, pretty sure I could swing it in July,,,
If anyone is taking deposits for a hold mine would have to hold until July,
a ten group buy might be worth it someone is importing them…
If we need to lock the deal in with someone wanting to deal with us , I am going to need a dead line for the cash,
two or four hundred deposit is no problem anytime.

As I take a few 65 yard shots on top of a telephone pole from my yard, ( I am not on the pole but the bird is)
I am thinking the 18 gr pellet hits the Grackle, Dead on breast shot how much further can the pellet go as I am sure it knocked off a lot of FPS going through the bird,
