Still not happy…
Towards the end it fell of the reg but what is that downwards spike inthe middle? Any explanation or was it a one time off and I should go again?Regulated Cricket and without the last 2 shots the ES is around 4mps. Cannot get it below that…

This is after I rebuilt the reg on my Cricket 22 std with the 2″ stainless steal hammer spring.
Not exactly sure but this is my approximate … with 56 shots.
ES = 6.6 fps, SD = 1.4 fps

Jan, Do you have a shot string for us with that hammer spring? What kind of ES are you getting?
What I did ?
– clean regulator washers and polish them
– property regulator setting
– polish hammer and lightly lube with silicon oil
– 2″ stainless steel spring with spring guide
– property aligned barrel and torque all 4 bolt screws with torque screw
– sanded front forend of cricket stock
– slightly tightened stock screw
– clean the barrel every 100 shots for ultimate accuracy.
Yes, and do not polish your barrel !!!
Just keep using the PatchWorm to clean your barrel with Ballistol and it will improve even more over time ……..

I´m happy camper now. I can say that my cricket is shooting at the best after two years now. :biggrinn:

The hammer spring doesn’t fully compress so you don’t need the guild to be to long, video below shown with OEM HST.
The purpose of have a spring guild is to limit the hammer spring from rubbing up against the housing and compress straight to gain consistent and equal compression every time.
To longer of a spring guild will make it contact the inside of the spring coils even more, increasing the friction points thus make it similar to not having one at all.
