Q:

My latest answer to the BullPup

My all airgun life I’ve been basically dwelling in the mid to low end guns.
Also several months ago after many years of successful PCP hunting I was feeling stale so I sold all of my guns,
I was happily living in “no man’s land” and not really thinking about PCPs, than Travis from W.A.R. sends me a FLEX .30 for field testing.

I found the gun to be built like a tank, rugged and extremely reliable, superbly accurate with a phenomenal trigger, basically all the pluss factors you expect from an High End gun.

However the FLEX design wasn’t something that would make me jump back into PCPs so I went back to my Blissful no man’s land ;D ;D ;D

Fast forward a few months and W.A.R. uncovers the WarP,……Ok,now that looks interesting, knowing what I knew of the built quality of the FLEX this new little Pistol/Carbine really turned me around since it’s a perfect gun for my needs, So I did one more thing that it’s a 1st for me, I placed a preorder, I’ve always been one that ordered only if a gun was in stock and ready to go out, but having delt with Travis a few months earlier I knew I could trust him,….Also I wanted to be one of the few firsts that got a WarP ;D ;D ;D

So Here she is

From my Experiance in Hog hunting I opted for the .25 cal and I’ll start the testing with the 27.8gr Benjamin, being a hard pellet it lends itself very well to Hog Hunting.

If you have seen me and my guns in the past you know I like to customize my guns so you’ll see some changes coming to this gun in the future 🙂 🙂

Also not having the time constrains of having to return a gun that it’s been sent to me for testing I can take my time and basically do a sloooow evaluation 😉

This think is so small and light I already can tell It’s gonna be a pleasure to carry in the woods, My hunting boots are gonna clock some serious miles ;D ;D ;D

very nice. is that an aluminum cover for the bottle? I’ve started playing with rubberized coatings (rhino liner, plasti dip) as a way to add better texture and grip to surfaces too

L

Lars and all others, how does it work out with Plasti-dip? Was thinking ’bout using this stuff for a stock rebuild. Anybody already have experience with it?
Thanks

nice. this is a true backpack rifle. thanks NP

29 1/4 with the stock attached, whats the overall length without the stock attached NP? be curious to know if one could slide that inside a range bag without any issues

Here you go :

Today I reverted my WARP back to the Original tune and shooting the Benjamin pellet for tomorrow’s Hog hunt.

The entire process is literally minutes, unscrew the ButtStock, turn the Hammerspring ( by keeping records you can immediately return to the one tune you want at the time being )
fine tune the zero, that, ….never goes very far away because the overall velocities are pretty similar on the different tunes since you change the pellets weights too for different power settings,

Honestly, the all process can’t be more than 5 minutes and I’m ready for a completely different Type of hunt.

Also since tomorrow will be a Walking hunt I made my One point sling attachment more comfortable

Something else I wanted to show and I’ve been forgetting is the Packability of the gun,

15 seconds and the ButtStock is off

20 1/2″ is the length of the gun than

Now the gun fits in you standard run of the mill backpack, with plenty room to spare for other gear you need to bring.

I also have been watching the FX impact and the Warp, It seems like about 30% of the FX guns have had major problems.
I do not think Warp has sold as many guns, But I hear nothing bad about the Warp guns , That’s NONE!
Please correct me if I am wrong,
I think both guns need to come down to a real level of 1,200 dollars give or take a few dollars
The Priest has me looking hard at a well priced gun that may fill my needs , 2000, bucks is a little hard for this poorboy to swallow, I need a regulator, extra clips, 2000 bucks is right there,
I think the upper guys will spend that kind of money, But not the average guys, And I do think the average guys are the ones that keep the ball rolling , You can sell one gun at 2000 or 10 guns at 1200 The manufacture decides the price.

That is one Sweet Set-Up Manny! 😉
I’m still trying to wrap my mind around which I like better. The Warp or Flex. Both??? LOL

Barrel length does not affect accuracy ( unless maybe to long of a barrel might even be detrimental for accuracy),
power and air efficiency are affected by barrel length.

The gun looks really good, but kind of short barrel. Did you take it out to 75 for accuracy test?

OK, so today I took the strings with the new tune and the 25gr Air Arms pellets,

Basically all I did was back the hammerspring out by adjusting the power adjuster.

So,……looks like magazines 4,5,6,7,8 make for a decent sweet spot.

I’m good with this tune for the upcoming Mongoose hunt and backyard protection 🙂

That was easy :)…take the buttstock off, back the hammerspring a bit and I’m done 🙂

Today I tighten up a bit the HammerSpring and got me a more to my liking Korean Cliff string ;D ;D ;D ;D

Back to using the Benjamins, they usually like a bit more velocity

Also I moved the furnitures around to show the advantages of having that Tank cover and Weaver rail

And also getting a green light on

Anyway here is the String

“Hammer”

Forgot about the .257 …..what do did they name that version of the gun again ?

WAR is working on a .257 barrel now as well. I wanted to get one for my Flex but they are still working on the one they have.

Nice groupings. Where do you get all these different barrels? (just curious)

Pirate, hopefully Lester and Madeline aren’t treating you too harshly.

W.A.R. sells .22 .25 .30 .308 barrels for FLEX and WARP and barrels fit on both guns, you can pick the length of the barrel of your choosing.

The News make it sound a lot worse than it really is :confusedn: :confusedn: :confusedn:
