Impact vs Vulcan in .25
Wich One would you choose and why? I’m thinking of getting the Impact just to see what the fuss is all about. Worst case scenario I’ll just sell it. It will be in .25

It didn’t look any different but it felt smooth everywhere except for the grip areas so worked well.

One of the great features of this “textured” spray-on bedliner is the tiny countless surface projections, that give it the tactile “feel”, can be easily rounded off, or even made flat…yet the overall finish remains cosmetically unchanged!

PS: I use it on my toothbrush handle, and on my Harbor Freight “suppository placement tool”!!! Two places where you don’t want to lose your firm grip!
When I used it on my P10 I lightly sanded everywhere except areas I wanted extra grip (i.e. Pistol grip and forend)

The second step is patience. The bed liner needs time to “cure” and get really hard. Most people find they can use the gun as soon as the stock dries. However, I found maximum hardness and durability doesn’t take place for several days or even a couple of weeks. Until then, it is prone to cosmetic nicks and chips if handled roughly.
Shake the can well before using too!

I’ve used truck bed liner for years and I agree Rustoleum is the best. The trick to a decent job, in my humble experience, has been to hold the spray can back at least 12″-14″, spray very light coats, let them dry for about an hour and re-spray until you get the texture you desire. It took several coats on mine before I got where I wanted to be on “feel” and texture.

Sweet! Now I just need to find it somewhere, can’t find it in Sweden at all. Hopefully I’ll get a hold of it somehow.
I’ve done many stocks with Truckbedlining, (and Rustoleum is the best)
Just work the stock with some 0000 Steel wool and windex ( windex takes away oily residues ) really this is a 5 minutes process.
Than prime it with some decent primer and spray the Truckbedlining over it,….all in all you should be done within an hour.
Can the truckbed lining be sprayed diectly on the stock as it is? Or do I need to sand it a bit? The stock is lacquered wood so maybe too “shiny” to spray without sanding?

The Impact is about 2k here in the USA, but I wouldn’t let price get in the way of getting a better gun.

The Vulcan is hella expensive though, 1700 Euros!!! That’s 1860 USD!!
The Impact is 1520 Euros or 1660 USD. So $200 cheaper.
Knowing all guns need there intro time before all the bugs are worked out, but for me the Impact with it’s rush out design with greed driven intent.
When the Impact first appeared I say to myself and posted it before that.
It’s very fancy and has to many things/parts/doodads that can go wrong in time.
I said it before and I’ll say it again, there will be more issue to come/fallow in time ……. just need to wait though.

I made a custom sub box for my Silverado and used the Rustoleum (many cans!) and it literally took over a month to harden. I thought at first it was supposed to remain rubbery/spongy but after a month or more it was hard like a rock.
