Leshiy accident posted on AGN

Check it out…dude shot thru his index finger with a .22! Posted pics and tried to explain how he did it! Nothing to do with the safety he just got his finder in front of the muzzle somehow. Poor awareness on his part and he paid. Ouch!!

Acourvil…Subtle, but harsh!

Tbear would give you the finger, but he doesn’t have one!!!

:hoot:

PS: Tbear… :tag: …but you’ll need a thick skin. We play hard here!!!

Shit happens even to the best of us. I was practicing at home, loading and dry firing my new mossberg 590A1 when boom it went off. Loud as fuck. I thought to myself what the fuck just happened. It turned out I accidentally mixed live rounds with my practice rounds. They look the same because I made the dummy round out of the spent shells. Luckily the 1 oz slug was aimed at my duffle bag, my army gear took the blunt of the force.

Practicing for the upcoming Darwin competitions?

Thanks! I just got around to watching his video. It’s interesting that the Huma reg can be ordered for the Leshly…every cc saved is another few shots. I don’t need 920 fps. Anything over 800 is plenty, and I believe that can be done with the longer barrel without sacrificing much shot count.

Hoot:

I’ve got 772fps with the .25 JSBs in the short barrel (8 shots), so you could definitely get 800+ with the longer barrel. I think I might be able to squeeze a few more fps with more tuning time, but it’s pretty good as it is so my motivation to spend more time tuning is limited. Definitely enough to kill golden lake trout.

I think I did quite well with the injury, because the .25 cal and 920 fps with JSB Kings could do a lot worse damage.

You are kidding or did not read post ? Rifle was Matador standard version in .25 cal

:hoot:

Dear Reel1….

I honestly don’t give a shit what you shot yourself with. This is America, you have personal choices about what to shoot yourself with, and you are free to do so whenever you get the urge! Personally, I have always avoided shooting myself whenever possible. I find getting shot to be quite painful…especially when it involves a 7.56X39 slug.

The subject I elaborated on was the Leshly’s potential power. The threads subject was “Leshly accident posted on AGN” So I applied my superior intellect on the Leshly’s limit’s of fpe/fps. This inquiry resulted in priceless information on this little gun’s potential. Everyone who read it was immediately better informed. The world became a better place! Order was restored and it’s entirely possible world peace may result!!!

PS: Kindly note I carry a Boker Kalashnikov 74 switchblade, with the “Box Cutter Blade”, as seen on Blade HQ: http://www.bladehq.com/item–Boker-Kalashnikov–2277 an excellent buy for the money.

My T-shirt reads: Come near me, and I’ll gut you like a hog. It’s just the way I roll. I don’t really like people. Dogs are ok…

:hoot:

So…the Leshly is capable of 920 fps in caliber .25, but with a six shot maximum. The capability is there, but the gun needs a larger diameter air tube! Ed could make this happen and offer it as a retro-fit mod to the Goblin. I doubt many owners would turn down an air tube with a diameter twice that of the OEM. Suddenly six shots at max power becomes 12+ shots and no other mods needed for the gun.

Ed…I love you like my own brother (even though you screwed me out of that sweet little Lelya at the air gun show, an act of pure evil towards a forum member who has always supported you, an act which I can never forgive) and it is an easy task to increase the diameter of the air tube…if only by 50%, it would add to the gun’s versatility and more useful shot count!

Listen to the cries of the faithful…bring forth a Goblin with more air capacity… :8:

Faithful, kindly, ‘Ol Uncle Hoot:

PS: Ed, do you have catfish in Russia? I can mail you a catfish, a really nice one, via FedEx, or UPS…would you want it cleaned first? Let me know!

PS PS: This is what I would look like if I had Leyla…or a Leshly….wouldn’t I look happy? Would you deny an old man this pleasure in his last years? My doctor says I am “circling the drain” and I don’t know what that means, but it sounds bad!!! I had to borrow my neighbor’s false teeth for this picture…that’s why they look so small in my mouth…they had a funny taste too!

Hold the phone Jones! I just stumbled across this post, and I don’t believe the Leshly is capable of 920 fps with 25gr JSB Kings.

How is this possible? Did you get the long barrel??? Adjust the regulator/HST? The physics of the gun would indicate such performance is unlikely, so I’m wondering if this is even possible with this gun?

Comments anyone???

:hoot:

I agree with Cybernutz…it wouldn’t take that much to increase the diameter of the air tube by 50% and double the shot count! That is a very slender air tube. I wonder if any of our machinist-oriented members could grab a titanium tube and modify it to replace that OEM tube. It would take a bit of doing to taper the ends to fit the reg, butt stock, and such…but probably not an impossible task.

I wonder if Kiwi-Wings has given this any thoughts?

I cant actually believe the Leshiy’s shot count given the size of the air reservoir. Kinda makes me think that the FX Impact regulator must be total rubbish given the size of its air tank.

I believe Wingman stated in one of his videos that he achieved over 900 fps with .25 JSB kings but that it only gave 6 shots in total.

Seriously ……… from the looks of his x-rays he still could possibly lose his finger depending on many factors, hope not though.

~ Greg

For over 10 years of being Edgun owner I’ve heard at least 20 stories of hurt fingers, nothing serious or fatal though.

wondering if the dude still got his finger…
any updates on this anyone heard anything?
