22 rimfire or a super 10-22
I got over the 22 rimfire thing many years ago, Used to go out and shoot a brick of shells every day, (weekend)
But looking at these super duty slick 10-22 guns that zonk ordered from Tony Kidd custom 10-22 .
A super duty super accurate 22 rimfire might be fun,
Pretty limited shooting in my neck of the woods, But looks fun.

LOL My buddy and I bought each other Kimber’s too. Now I am into self gifting. :smilen:
I just got a Ruger Stainless 10-22 Target Model yesterday, going to my granddaughter who is 16 months old. She already has a AR, never fired, and a .22 single shot Rascal in pink, never fired.

Guess it’s never too young to start a collection :smilen:

HOLLY SHIT Mike $125???? My dealer charges $15.00 to do a transfer. Your getting Butt F………….
sounded pretty cool to get a 10-22 all set up with the good stuff.
I got to go through a FFL dealer, 125,00 bucks seems a little high to unbox the gun and check me out.
I think I am going to check with some one else,

My first 10-22 was a AMT all stainless, even the action was stainless, custom threaded 18″ barrel. It even had a 2oz single stage trigger made by Jewell. When my trigger broke I sent it back to Jewell and they refused to fix it saying that trigger wasn’t meant to go out to the public. That really pissed me off because it cost me $200 more from AMT. This was back in the 80s.
Our large range club (we had over 1200 members) recommended 10-22’s for new shooters plus a Bushnell scope and they got a discount (not sure a semi was the right first gun). I bought one maybe thirty years ago now and found out it wasn’t very accurate. Eventually, I volunteered to teach and setup the guns with scopes for the newbies. I bet I setup fifty of them over a few years. I found out that most of the stock ones are also not very accurate. If you find one that shoots under about 1.5″ at 50 yards it’s a keeper. lol Now you know why Volquarksen and others do so well with rebarrels and rebuilds.
I also have an older Marlin 60 and it is a tack driver next to the Ruger. The CZ 22 bolt action guns are very good like a 455.
I had a 10 22 back about 1985 or so, Had a local gun smith work the trigger and slide for me, The gun would shoot two and some times three shells I a single pull of the trigger , It always felt like just one shot, Loaned the gun out and never got it back, He had a nice wife. :winkn: :winkn:
young dumb and stupid,

I shoot CCI Subsonics 940 fps and Gemtech Subsonics 920 fps out of my Marlin 60 SS and they are quiet enough to shoot in the backyard, My springers are louder then those :biggrinn: :biggrinn:
I can even get away with CCI Standard 1070 fps
Same here Coda, I have several boxes of CBs. SUPER quiet suppressed but have to manually pull the slid back after each shot.
I have maybe ten boxes of the CBs and a few boxes of the new ones. They are no where as accurate as our good PCP’s (velocity is more inconsistent). They also seem to ricochet more – maybe because they are solid. I shoot them single shot but cycling is a problem. It’s what I mainly shot in my backyard before my first PCP for years.
Yes Greg I’ve been using them for quite awhile. The only problem with them is they don’t cycle my Ruger MK2, not enough pressure to work the slid. Now I could cut down my recoil spring to make them reliable, but then other ammo would have to much pressure working the slid.
I use Eley standard velocity or any standard velocity for that matter in my suppressed guns as their only 1050 FPS. I don’t fall for “Subsonic Ammo” bullshit at $7.00 a box.
Got all ten fingers crossed Coda, it’ll make for cooler subsonics for sure ………..
Will increase the Supressor ammo industry/tech for sure, cracking it closer to 1000 fps.
Speaking of subs anyone try CCIs Quiet 40 Grain, does only 710 fps ?
OKay… found this, crappy accuracy but would be good till … one waits for … passing the bill.
