Q:

Another R5 on the forum!

Hoot:

I have not even fired either bullet, I hope for free weekend time and I will write my observations from the field. My R5 is a standard version, paired with Edgun riflescope 12×44 and for the night I use Yukon Photon RT 4.4 x 42 S
I’m also interested in the precision of new baracudas in .30 cal. The JSB 44 gr comes in for 10 days so I’ll know what’s better for my R5.
This is all for me, I salute you from Croatia.

No my friend,every R5 has serial number…
Piter,if you have some of your nice photos, please put one with serial number of your R5

How do you know that really only 407 have been produced?

Serial number might be a clue actually…

There isn’t any serial number to my understanding.

Please elaborate.

Numbering each gun would be more expensive to produce especially if the production is outsourced, they would charge an additional cost.

With this technique there are many proud owners of a limited edition gun manufactured at the cost of a mass produced gun.

Actually a clever solution.

How do you know that really only 407 have been produced?

You don’t know.

Neither of them. Every gun has the same sentence.

Interesting how it is spelled out “this one is one of 407 guns of the limited edition” vs just saying 1/407 or 1 of 407. Which one is it?

This is my first .30 cal rifle and it is big differense vs .25 cal. Also I found best speed with this pellets at 260 m/s.
For perfect day, I noticed crow at 116 meters (126 yards), and after some calculation on strelok I took a clean hit.

Helooooooooo!!!!

The vacation started, so I took the time today and enjoyed my R5
JSB .30 44 grains arrived and I was convinced that there was no better and more precise ammunition than JSB for anny PCP I had (not just Edgun)
Groups have 5 hits, with 50 and 100 meters. This 50 meters was created with the Yukon photon RT Night Vision and this at 100 meters with Edgun 12×44.
Say hello to all Edguns haters

Go back to 2013 and maybe you will find a good barrel to use

I agree if we talk about .25 and conventional rifling. As of .22 there were good barrels after 2013.

Here is some 5 shoots gruops from today testing new R5 and new H&H Baracudas in .30 cal. Well I expected better precision of barracuda, I would soon get JSB exact .30 2.90 grams for which I expect better accuracy. I know the R5 is brand new and needs some adjustments, but my other Edguns were more precise out of the box. Speed was 264 m / s and pellets are weight 3.00 grams. Crosswind 0-2 mph from 3 o’clock.

As i see this is your 50m 5 shots accurcy r8?
U know something if i throw the pellets in my hand i make group better then ur 7.62
