It’s almost like using night vision. I can see a field rat on the edge of the field at 75 yards in half moon light!

Hey Mike, link me to your scope.

All that money for the scope and they don’t even know the difference between “insure” and “ensure”.

I keep coming back to the bushy (I can’t remember the exact model name for sure) it’s a 5X15X40 mil-dot for right around $200.00. This seems like the best “bang for the buck’ scope out there……? OR the 6X18X40?

Daved, yes, I looked at Hawke Scopes myself while searching, particularly the “Sidewinder” series. Thing is, the little info I could find on reviews/forums from actual users was just to mixed for me to take the leap. But I would also like to here your review of yours when you can do it.

Here’s a link to the Hawke Sidewinders in case anyone would like to check them out: http://www.hawkeoptics.com/riflescopes/sidewinder.htm

By all means Dave please do. I am still enjoying my ability to use open sights. I have excellent vision at 42 Y.O. so want to use my eyes as long as they hold out lol. But I am researching/studying up now, so by the time i’m ready to part with the hard earned i’ll know what i want. I keep going back and forth right now between a “Damned the torpedos” big bucks scope, and a “be sensible” 200-300 dollar model.

I realize I came in on this a little late, but has anyone considered the Hawke scopes? I just bought one of the MAP Pro 4-16×50’s, haven’t really had a chance to wring it out yet, but I’m liking it so far. Optically, I think it’s a bit better than my old Simmons 44 Mags, and it’s definitely brighter. Price new is just under $200, I’ll post more info when I have a chance to really give it a work out. Later.

Dave

I’ve been shopping around for scopes as well. Almost went for the MTC Viper, which by most accounts is a great scope, but heard to many negative things about Airguns of Arizona in regards to returns and customer service should anything go wrong. They’re the only ones sell them. The bushnell models I liked will only focus down to 25 yrds.

After HOURS and HOURS of research online, I’m taking a chance on the Millet TRS-1 4-16X50 scope. Good to Great reviews everywhere with just a few exceptions. Lifetime garrantee, and they’re right here in So Cal. They sell out as fast as they get them, and I have a backorder with Red River Tactical. Donnie is a awesome guy to deal with, and always replys right away to any questions I had via email. This is supposed to be a awesome scope for about $300.00, which is right at my budget. I also fianally ordered a tri-rail as well. I’ll post pics and a review when it gets in. You can check it out here:

One of many positive reviews. Scroll down to The Big Dog take on the TRS-1 here: http://www.thefirearmsforum.com/showthread.php?t=36489

Holy Crap! Talk about over kill!

I will stick with my Bushnell’s, Thank you very much!

IF I had the money, I might actually get that thing. It is frikkin awesome!

What a waste of money. What could possible make a scope that expensive? It’s not even like 2-4000×80, just 4-16×50. The scope lenses must be made out of polished diamond. 😯 lol
